Piper's Point of View
After a two hour run with Roxy I was feeling a lot better than I had for most of the day. And now that Ben had finally downed tools and I'd contacted the warriors about the meeting - I'd opted for 7am in the end - It felt like my evening could finally start. There was just one other thing that I had to do. And it really was something I had to do, not something I wanted to do. I slid out my phone and called Blake.
"Hey you," He said in a cheerful greeting. My man cheerful, who would ever have thought it?
"Howdi," I said back trying like hell to sound cheerful.
"Is everything ok? You sound a little stressed." Clearly my attempt at cheerful had not been successful.
"Everything's fine, I promise." Another lie to add to the truckload I'd already told. "Ben
