Burnt Skies

Chapter 9

I woke up and tried to roll over but there were arms holding me in place, turning my head to look over I saw a very peaceful Brody sleeping.

I slowly unwrapped his arms from my waist ever so carefully and try not to wake him, he moved just a little bit but I managed to get out of his grasp.

At that moment I was looking at him and admiring how peaceful he looked, then he started to stir in his sleep and he opened his eyes slowly.

"Morning beautiful" he said in a husky voice

I felt my cheeks start to burn at that and I saw the smirk come onto his face.

"So I do have an affect on you" he chuckles lightly

I told him to shut up then threw a pillow at his face with no warning.

"Oh really, you think you can just get me like that and win? I dont think so" he says wiggling his finger back and forth

He picked up the pillow that I threw at him and started hitting me with it, I decided to get a pillow too and hit him in the face with it about 5 times.

I heard the door open and saw Molly poke her head in that is until a pillow went flying at her and ended up hitting her square in the face, me and Brody started laughing at her.

"Its not funny, that kinda hurt" Molly pouted and crossed her arms

"Oh so you can't take a hit?" Brody laughed

"OH YOU WANNA SEE WHO CAN TAKE A HIT!" Molly ran after Brody and started slapping him, Brody was pinned to a corner getting slapped by Molly.

Zach came in and asked me what was going on, I just shrugged and told him that Molly would handle it.

Zach just told me that he sent Molly up to come and tell us that breakfast was ready but it has been like 10 minutes since he sent her

I just shook my head at him, i get up off the bed and me and Zach went down to eat breakfast while Molly was taking care of Brody.

~20 minutes later~

They finally came down and you could literally see the red hand marks clearly on his face.

"Wow" I said and Zach just whistled

"Brody I thought you were suppose to be the tough bad boy not the boy that gets beat up by girls" I laughed softly

All Brody had to say was "shut up!"

Brody came and sat next to me while Molly sat next to Zach.

~15 minutes later~

We were all sitting on the couches when Zach finally spoke up breaking the silence "so I was thinking we would all go swimming, i got a pool outside and they say its gonna be a nice day out, so who wants to go swimming?"

We all just answered yeah and went to get dressed in our bathing suits.

Brody tried to follow me in my room but I closed the door and locked it before he could get in.

I heard him sigh and whisper "it was worth a try"

Brody walked away so I started to get dressed, Molly gave me a black bathing suit with white pocka dots.

I came out and everyone was waiting for me on the couches. Molly had pretty much the same bathing suit on just her dots were hot pink.

We all walked in the back yard and the boys jumped straight in, while I was standing there Brody came out of the water wrapped me in his arms and carried me into the water with him, he then proceeded to drop me.

"You jerk!" I shouted giving him the death glare

Zach did the same thing with Molly, after a bit we were splashing eachother with water, we got out for lunch, its fun just being with my friends but i know I will have to go back home soon, I can tell you that my mom is probably freaking out right now cause i didnt come home last night and didnt text her, my bad.
