Chapter 10

When we were finally done eating our lunch I told Brody I would be back, I had to call my mother so she wouldn't call the police to try and find me.

He reluctantly replied with an okay, I went up in the guest room where I was staying and tried to dial her number, no answer, I tried again no answer and one last time still no answer.

There had to be something going on she usually picks up on the third ring so I decided to try and call Ash's number, no answer, I tried again no answer, now I was starting to get beyond worried cause as much as Ash didn't care for me he always picks up.

I ran down stairs and told Brody I needed to drive home now!

They all were looking at me weird and I could tell they were confused at what was happening at that moment.

Brody told me he was going with me, I just said "ok" I didn't want to fight with him at this very moment cause something might have happened and we would be wasting time fighting.

As soon as we got in the car I sped down the road and almost ran a few red lights

When we got there my moms car wasn't in the drive way but Ash's was so I went to the front door and tried to open it but it was locked, good thing I remembered my key before I left, I opened the house and it looked perfectly fine, I ran up to Ash's room, Brody on my heels the whole way there.

When we got to Ash's room it was like usual just no Ash, I ran to my moms room, no mom, now I was worried, I didn't know where they were and at that point tears were threatening to spill out but I didn't let them, I needed to figure out this mystery but calm myself down as well.

Brody told me we should check with his mom and dad to see if they heard of anything so we headed over there.

When we got there, Brody's mom was really happy to see us, she hugged us to death then invited us in.

"Clair have you heard of anything about my mother and Ash?" I asked desperately

I could tell she was confused at this point

"What do you mean honey?"

"Well Carmen tried to call her mom and step brother three times each and they didn't answer so we went over to her house and they weren't there and only Carmen's step brothers car is in the drive way" Brody tried to explain.

"Im sorry honey I haven't heard of anything" she sadly told us

"Alright well thanks anyway mom, we will be staying at Zach's house for a while till we figure this out."

"Ok honey you should pack clothes though"

"I know" Brody said

"I will go back to my house and pack my clothes too, ok Brody?"

"Ok"

I walked out of their huge house and to my house and ran up the stairs to pack whatever I needed then I came back down and sat in my car by Brody's house waiting for him to come out.

When he came out we drove back to Zach's house in silence except for the radio and the slight sounds that i could hear of Brody singing, i thought it was cute when he sung.

When we got to Zach's house it was already late so Molly and Zach were already in bed.

I ran up to the bedroom where i was staying and put my pj's on and got ready for bed, when i was just about ready Brody came in to say goodnight, he's so cute.

When i was getting in bed Brody was about to leave, i asked him "can you stay in here tonight Brody?"

I could see the smile on his face when he heard that, he turned off the lights and came in bed with me and wrapped his arms around my waist and we fell fast asleep close to eachother.
