Chapter 20 - movie night *Bonus Chapter*

Riella P.O.V.

I was walking back towards the palace with Sam, we had just finished our picnic date. I was smiling and feeling very happy as I looked at our hands, our fingers were intertwined and around my wrist hung a silver bracelet. During our lunch Sam had asked me to officially be his girlfriend and of course I had said yes. He was my crush from day one here at the palace, even before that I had already fallen for him but I rather did not think back about that night at the club.

"Oh I think I'm gonna say hi to Vira before heading back to that dreadful kitchen" I said when we were close to the stables. Sam pulled me against him and wrapped his arms around me.

"I think you can better leave her to do get thing, she has gotten a rather special task today" Sam said and I looked at him with a slightly raised eyebrow.

"What do you mean?" I asked and was afraid they had given her some impossible task again.

"Well it turns out that Mittens did some very nasty games with a neighbor cat and she is delivering" Sam said and I started laughing.

"Oh my God hahaha.. Are you serious? Didn't let Valentino sterilize her?" I asked and Sam shook his head.

"Pretty dumb if you ask me.. But what does that have to do with Vira?" I asked.

"She is keeping a eye on Mittens, which means she is often in contact with Valentino and well I did explain the importance of them at least becoming friends, didn't I?" Sam said and I nodded.

We continued our walk back and I have to admit that I didn't understand why it was so important. Of course I knew about the witch hunts from my mother, she was a witch too. Yet how can one friendship between a prince and a witch change everything for all witches? When we were in the palace I hugged Sam and he returned my hug with his strong arms wrapped around me. Then he lifted me up a little so he could kiss me, I loved his kisses, they were soft and sweet but also had a certain desire in them. They often left me breathless and dizzy for a moment and so did this kiss. Sam seemed to know very well what his kisses did to me so he waited for me to catch my breath. When I had, I nodded and he slowly let go of me. I then turned around and walked away but before I could I heard Sam cheat his throat.

I turned around and he held up his phone.

"My brother really wants to meet you, even if I told him he already knows you. Do you want to come over tonight for movies and snacks?" He asked and I smiled. Tomorrow was my day of so I nodded.

"I would love to, see you after dinner okay? I think I can best make sure Vira eats even if she is in this special task" I said and he nodded.

"See you after dinner" he said and then we each went our way.

The rest of the day went by rather quickly. I had something to look forward too and that really helped even during kitchen duty. I hated working in the kitchen especially because as a regular maid you were often put on the dishes, and they used a lot of things for just one meal! I wasn't alone and that was something I was happy about.

After the working day, I headed back to the maid quarters and there I looked at the time. I dropped by at Vira's room and opened the door slowly. I had not suspected Mittens to be in her room but knew that after a long work day Vira sometimes feel asleep before dinner. We chatted a bit and i showed her my bracelet. We had squealed in joy both and for a moment that had scared Mittens, so Vira qickly went to calm her down.

After that I had left and came back later with a plate of food for Vira and me. This I did so Vira could eat dinner and keep a look out on Mittens. She was grateful for me doing that because I knew she didn't know for sure what to do.

"So, now you saw the sweet side, you are not gonna be like the others right?" I asked while eating. Vira looked at me and I saw her raising an eyebrow.

"Are you crazy? I am not gonna change into some fan girl only because Valentino cares about his cat" she said.

"Thank God" I said and she chuckled. We finished our meal shortly after and I took the plates back.

"I'll see you tomorrow, Sam invited me to a movie night with his brother" I said and Vira smiled.

"Have fun, I'll text you when the kittens are born, I'm sure you would love to see them" she said and I nodded.

Of course I wanted to see the kittens once they were born. Baby animals were cute! Well, most baby animals were. My mother once had taken care of a nest with doves and those babies are everything but cute. I was on my way to my room when I saw Valentino walk by in quite a fat pase. I decided to ignore it, Vira had showed more than once already that she didn't need help fighting him of. I entered my room which wad quite a bit larger than Vira's and undid myself from my working clothes. I grabbed a towel and my bathrobe and went to the bathroom we shared and there I took a quick shower.

After that I returned to my room and got dressed in a pair of jeans which had one ripped knee. I put on a black tanktop and a dark yellow hoodie which ended halfway my belly. I brushed my half long bod with pink hair and saw that it was soon time for a new color. Though I was debating on which I should do. I then walked out of my room and locked the door behind me.

Heading out towards the houses for employees with families, I looked at the sun that was almost setting. It was getting chilly and I wished I had taken a jacket with me. I quickly walked towards the house of Sam and his brother. When I rang the bell I heard some stumbling and something fall down.

"Ouch Sam!" Ronan shouted and when the door opened I saw Sam stand with a smile and Ronan sit on the floor.

"Did you just tackle your brother so you could open the door?" I asked and Sam smiled sheepishly.

"He can handle it, He keeps saying he wants to be a guard too one day" Sam said and I shook my head. I walked inside and offered Ronan a hand. He took it and I helped him up.

"He has been cleaning the whole house all day after you said yes, normally there us much more mess" He said and I laughed.

"Ronan!" Sam said and now both of us laughed, which made Sam also laugh. We walked towards the living room.

I looked at Ronan, he was so different from Sam but sometimes he showed the exact same characteristic features. He was wearing a headband with jaguar ears and it looked really good. He could even more the ears without hearing some mechanic sound. He often wore them and sometimes he also had a tail but this time not. I really wondered where he had gotten them. When we entered the living room I saw the table was filled with all kinds of snacks and a pile of DVD's.

"Are we gonna watch all of them?" I asked and Sam chuckled.

"If you two can keep your hands away from each other, that is the plan" Ronan said and he got smacked on the back of his head.

"Ouch! Sam you can't hit me!" He said and Sam rolled his eyes.

"I can when you are being a brat, brat" he responded and then sat down on the couch. I sat down next to him but was suddenly pulled on Sam's lap and I squealed, which ended in a laugh.

"Hey, I came here to watch movies with both of you" I protested and Sam fake pouted. I gave him a kiss on his cheek and then tried to move away.

"You need to pay a better fee to sit next to me" Sam said and I raised a eyebrow. He grinned and I heard Ronan grunt.

"Get a room" he said and sat down on the other side of the couch. I looked at him and then back at Sam.

"Alright, one kiss and then you let me go.. But Ronan gets to pick the first three movies" I said and Ronan looked up surprised.

"Oh I like that idea! Now kiss him!" He suddenly said and that made Sam and me laugh. I then gave Sam a kiss on his lips and he deepened the kiss until I was almost out of breath. We then stopped and when I looked to my left I saw Ronan hide behind a pillow.

"Are you two done?" He asked and I chuckled. I moved from Sam's lap and sat down in between them.

"Yes, go ahead and choose the first movie" I said and Ronan quickly moved up to the pile. He checked the pile and then took three movies out and walked with the first one towards the DVD player.

"I hope you can handle horror" Ronan said and I nodded.

"I'm not scared that easily" I said and Sam put his arm around me.

"And if you are, I'll protect you" he said and I chuckled. After Ronan sat down again, the movie started and it was Saw 3. I knew the other movies so I didn't mind.

"This is his favorite" Sam whispered and I nodded.

We watched movies and ate snacks. During the third movie Ronan started throwing peanuts at Sam and Sam threw hands full of m&m's back. I was in the middle of the cross fire and tried to duck away from it but then suddenly got seen as a target by Ronan as well. I grabbed the first bowl I could reach for and started throwing sugar peanuts back at him. We laughed and Sam helped me at first but then switched sides so I crawled away and hid under the dining table and used the chairs as shield.

"Okay okay you win!" I said when I found out that the chairs were no good as shield.

Ronan and Sam laughed and then pulled the chairs away for me so I could easily crawl away from under the table. Sam helped me up and peanuts and m&m's feel on the ground from out of my hoodie.

"Oh you were hit very well" he said and wiggled his eyebrows. I blushed at the meaning behind what he said.

"Blergh! You are not gonna search her bra for snacks.. are you?" Ronan said with a disgusted face.

"You do bring me to a idea there little brother" Sam said and I shook my head fast.

"No no no absolutely not" I said quickly. Sam pouted and I gave him a serious look.

Sam chuckled and looked at the time. Ronan yawned and Sam smiled.

"It's 11:00 pm Ro, time to go to bed" He said and Ronan sighed.

"No fighting over that tonight mister, you promised" Sam said with s slight warning in his voice. Ronan nodded and then headed upstairs. I smiled and looked at Sam.

"I think it's a good time for me to go home" I said. Sam wrapped a arm around me and looked at me.

"I hoped that you would stay for the night" he said and I smiled. Ronan came downstairs before I could answer and hugged Sam. After that he looked at me and held his arms open. I freed myself from Sam's arm and hugged Ronan.

"Sleep well and thank you for the amazing evening." I said and he smiled.

"I had a lot of fun, you are a great sister in law" He said and I looked st him surprised.

"Sam never asked someone before to be his girlfriend and he especially never gave our mother's bracelet to someone" he said and I wad even more surprised now.

"Alright Ro, chop chop.. time to sleep" Sam said quickly and Ronan went upstairs again, this time to stay there.

Sam and I headed back to the couch and Sam sat down. This time I sat down on his lap right away and looked at him.

"So the S and the L on the inside are the initials from your parents?" I asked and he nodded. A sadness ran through his eyes and I wrapped my arms around him.

"Thank you" I whispered and he looked at me slightly confused.

"Why do you thank me?" He asked.

"That you trust me with such a important piece of jewelry" I said and kissed his cheek.

"I trust you with my life Ri.. I know it might be weird but I can just tell that you are the one for me" Sam said. His words made me blush and I felt really happy that he thought about me like that.

"I know it's soon but if it was up to me, you would move in tomorrow and we would marry next week.. If you want to marry" Sam whispered and burried his face in my neck. I was speechless and moved a bit so I could look at him.

"It does sound fast but one day I'll love to marry you" I said and Sam moved me so I would side with one leg on each side of him and kissed me deeply.

I returned the kiss and I could feel him tug at my hoodie. I smiled and raised my hands, he pulled it out and kissed my neck. While kissing me there, he got up and held me in his arms. I wrapped my legs around his waist.

"Tell me which way so I won't crash into the furniture" he said and I looked behind me.

"Three side steps left, then turn around and head straight" I said. I didn't know the house very well but Sam moved the way I said and when he saw the stairs he walked up them. We kept kissing and when Sam kissed my lips again I couldn't give directions and we slammed against a wall.

"Oops" Sam said after breaking the kiss. I looked at him and smiled.

"Maybe we should just walk" I said and he nodded. He put me down but kept his hands on my butt.

"But I don't want to let go of you" he said and I smiled. I could feel that my face was red but I didn't mind.

We walked towards his room and there Sam pulled me up again and placed me on his bed. I looked at him with a smile and saw how he took off his shirt.

"There is something I need to tell you before we head into this.." Sam said and he was suddenly very serious yet there also was something about him that gave of a nervous vibe.

"Don't tell me you don't do condoms" I said and he looked at me.

"I do not like them but if you want then we will use them, no problem there" He said and I kinda felt relieved.

"No, there is something else I need to tell you" Sam said, he seemed nervous. I crawled from the bed and walked to him.

"Sam.. I love you, I won't leave for anything" I said and cupped his face with my hand. He laid his hands on mine and I smiled. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes.

When he opened them again, they were cat like and his teeth seemed longer. I was slightly shocked when I saw it but smiled softly.

"Are you a shifter?" I asked and he nodded.

"We are were-jaguars.. Ronan and I" Sam said. I kissed him on his lips and he returned my kiss after a moment. I could only imagibe that he had not expected this as my reaction. Yet I was adopted by a witch and her wizard husband, so I knew a bit of the special creatures in our so normal looking world.

During the kiss I could feel his teeth return to normal and I opened my mouth. We kissed and together we walked back to his bed. He sat down on it and pulled me on his lap. I sat down and pushed him towards a laying position, bending along with him so we could keep kissing.

We continued our kissing and that night we saw each other naked, but not only saw. We felt, tasted and shared every inch of each other's body. I loved every moment of it and after we were both done and satisfied I cuddled up to Sam and sighed in enjoyment of what we just had done.

"Are you alright?" Sam asked in a husky voice.

"Yes I am, why do you ask?" I asked and looked up. He looked at me with loving eyes.

"Well, I had trouble to keep my nails inside and not scratch you at some point.. especially when you did that thing with your tongue" He said and I smiled. A blush creeped up on my cheeks and I hid my face more against his bare chest.

"Don't worry, I'm more than fine" I said and truly felt amazing. He wrapped his warm arms around me and I closed my eyes.

"Good, you are not allowed to get hurt" he said and I could hear the protective tone in his voice.

"I'm sure that I'll never get hurt anymore" I mumbled, feeling myself starting to get really sleepy. There were so many questions I had and tried to stay awake.

"Let's get some sleep, anything you want to ask I can answer later too.. I'm not planning on turning my back to you suddenly" Sam said and before I drifted of to sleep I felt his lips one more time on my forehead. I smiled and then let myself drift away to dream land.
