Chapter 9: Green Light

1442 Words
Tyler’s POV I watched her walk out, and I didn’t stop her. I stood there in the middle of my room and listened to her footsteps fade down the hallway and told myself it was the right call, that pushing her away was the only thing that made sense, that a girl like Sophie deserved someone who wasn’t carrying what I was carrying, and my wolf disagreed with every single word of that so loudly I had to clench my jaw just to think straight. I felt used, she’d said, and the words had landed somewhere they had no business landing, sitting in my chest sharp and stubborn, because that wasn’t what last night was, it was never that, but I couldn’t tell her what it actually was without telling her everything else, without explaining the thing I had spent the last however many months trying to pretend didn’t exist. My ex had left because of my dysfunction, because no amount of foreplay can ever make me horny, and I had let her go because what else was I supposed to do, beg her to stay and watch her keep being disappointed every time we tried having s*x? I had closed that part of myself off and kept it closed and told myself it was fine, it was manageable, it was just how things were now. Then Sophie walked into my pack in that bikini and my wolf lost his mind completely, and last night happened, and my body, the body that had refused every attempt, every effort, every person who had tried in the time between then and now, had responded to her like nothing had ever been wrong, like there was never a problem to begin with, effortlessly, completely, and I still couldn’t fully believe it, kept turning it over looking for the explanation that wasn’t her, because if it was her then it meant something my wolf had already decided and that I was nowhere near ready to say out loud. I sat on the edge of the bed and pressed my hands against my face. That was when it hit me, Sophie and Ava, the way they had been this morning, sitting at the same table without once looking at each other, Ava not talking was enough on its own to tell me something had gone wrong because Ava not talking simply didn’t happen, she filled every room she walked into and this morning she had been empty and I had been too caught up in my own head to go and find out why. I got up and went to her room. Her door was half open and she was sitting on the bed staring at nothing, and she looked up when I came in and tried to smile and didn’t quite manage it, I sat on the edge of the bed. “Is something going on between you and Sophie,” I said. “No,” she replied quickly, “we’re fine.” “Ava.” She looked away, picking at the edge of her pillow, then exhaled slowly, “I just don’t trust her Tyler, I know her, she’s my friend and that’s exactly why I can tell when something is off, and something is off with her right now, I think she has a motive and I think you should be careful because it’s going to affect you if you keep going toward her.” I sat with that and tried to find the missing piece because something between the lines didn’t quite sit right, but Ava was my blood and she had never lied to me, so I let it go for now. “Sort out whatever is happening between the two of you,” I told her standing up, “I don’t like this coldness in the house, handle it.” She nodded and I left. I went to the kitchen and poured some water and stood there drinking it slowly, glad for the quiet, not thinking about anything in particular, especially not Sophie, and then arms wrapped around me from behind and I didn’t even need to turn around to know it was Sophie but I turned anyway Sophie was standing there looking up at me and I stepped back gently, creating space, the one thing I kept needing and kept failing to maintain around her. “Why do you keep doing this,” her voice was quiet but something underneath it had been building for a while, “green light then nothing, pulling me in then pushing me away, what is going on with you?” “I’m the one with the green light,” I said, “I turn it on and off when I want.” She looked at me for a moment, then stepped closer, “you’re right, maybe you are, maybe you can switch it whenever you feel like it, but I’m the one who decides if I’m moving toward it or stepping back,” she held my gaze steady, “and right now I want you to turn it on.” She kissed me before I could answer. I put my hands on her arms with every intention of stepping back and being reasonable and she pressed closer and everything reasonable in me just gave, and I kissed her back and pulled her in and lifted her onto the kitchen counter and stepped between her knees and kissed her properly, finally, and my wolf went completely still inside me. I reached down, gripping the hem of her oversized top and sliding it up and over her head in one fluid motion. She helped me, arching her back and tossing the shirt aside, leaving her breasts bare and straining against the cool air of the kitchen. I groaned, the sound raw and hungry, as I leaned in to capture one of her n*****s in my mouth, sucking hard and swirling my tongue around the sensitive peak. Sophie let out a sharp, loud moan, her fingers digging into my hair, pulling me closer. "Oh god, Tyler... yes," she gasped, her head snapping back, her chest heaving. I moved to the other side, licking and teasing the other n****e until she was squirming on the counter, her hips instinctively grinding against me. The scent of her, sweet, musk, and pure desire hit me like a wave. I stepped back just an inch, my breath coming in heavy rags. I freed my c**k from my pants, and it sprang out, throbbing and fully erect, leaking a bit of pre-c*m at the tip. Sophie looked down at me, her eyes wide and dark with lust. Without a word, she slid off the counter and sank to her knees on the kitchen floor. She wrapped her hand around the base of my shaft and leaned in, her lips parting as she took the head of my c**k into her mouth. "Fuuuuck," I groaned, my head falling back as the warmth of her mouth enveloped me. She was eager, sucking with a rhythmic intensity, her tongue swirling around the head before she slid deeper, taking as much of me as she could. I gripped her shoulders, my fingers bruising her skin as I began to thrust my hips forward. I wasn't being gentle. I wanted to feel her throat, wanted to feel the pressure of her mouth clamping down on me. I started f*****g her mouth, my thrusts becoming hard and fast. Suck, slide, suck. The sound of her gagging slightly only made me harder. I pushed deeper, driving my c**k into the back of her throat, forcing her to take every inch of me. Sophie made muffled, needy sounds, her eyes looking up at me with a mixture of desperation and pleasure. "That's it, Sophie... take it all," I growled, my voice sounding animalistic. The friction was too much. The combination of her tight grip and the wet, hot suction of her mouth pushed me over the edge instantly. I let out a guttural roar, my hips slamming forward one last time as I came. I pumped my c*m deep into her throat, a hot, thick release that left me shaking. Sophie swallowed hard, taking every drop of my load, her eyes fluttering shut as she finished me off with a few more lingering sucks. I stood there for a second, panting, my heart hammering against my ribs. But the release didn't stop the hunger, it only shifted it. I looked down at her, still on her knees, looking up at me with a swollen mouth and a hungry gaze. I reached down, grabbed her waist, and hauled her back up.
