André and Amber rushed upstairs. Amber was the first one to reach there. She went straight to the master bedroom. Sofia was standing in a corner, trying to hold in her tears and trembling from the effort.
Amber's eyes fell on the bed and she had to cling to the doorway for support.
"No..." André said as he came up behind her. On the bed lay Dianne. Or rather, Dianne's body in a terrible contorted posture. Her eyes were closed but her face was constricted in pain. Her left arm lay outstretched. A long gash ran across her forevein. The white bedsheet and her nightgown were stained a dark red. Blood was splattered across the walls and the floor. There was a puddle near her arm and blood still fell in occassional drops on the plush carpet.
