-2 Months Later-
I’ve taken a step back from partying and hanging out with strangers. After what happened two months ago, I’ve been re-thinking my whole life.
Simon has tried to get me to go out with him, but I keep turning him down. I was hoping he would take the clue to get lost, but it seems like he finally listened.
I honestly haven’t seen him around school since last month.
When he stopped coming around, I was happy because I didn’t have to keep turning him down—but now I kind of miss seeing him grovel at my feet.
That’s not what else I miss.
Fucking Aries is all I can seem to think about, aside from Rámon when he isn’t plaguing my thoughts.
Aries brooding and commanding energy has seeped into my pours, begging for more. I hope to see him around, but I haven’t seen him since that night at the club.
I keep telling myself to forget about him, but I can’t. My body liked his touch—enough to want more.
He may have not been Rámon, but he was pretty damn close. His blue eyes and the hatred he holds inside relates to me in more ways than one.
If anything, I could use him to get over Rámon.
Then again, that could be the worst possible decision I could ever make in my life.
The bell rung, commencing the end of class and the end of the day.
God, I was so ready to go home.
I gathered my things, watching my other classmates pass by my desk, stealing glances my way.
Since I came here, people have been intrigued to get to know me, but I don’t want to make any friends.
It’s not like I plan to stay.
I’m just here to blow off some steam.
I picked up my bag and left the classroom, heading towards the parking lot where Luca and the guys should have been waiting for me.
I walked out of the school, oblivious to my surroundings because I was in my head—in my head is always where I’m at these days.
A firm grip grasped my arm and pulled me into a hard chest. I looked up to see Aries sinfully handsome face with a smug smirk on his lips—the same lips that kissed me so ravenously all those months ago.
“Hello, little sun.” He smiled, “Missed me?”
“Aries.” I breathed out, not expecting to see him.
I was just thinking about him and now he seems to appear. He must be able to read my thoughts. I must have beckoned him here through some mental link or something.
God, maybe he really was the devil.
“What are you doing here?” I questioned as I stepped back and out of his hold.
“I came to see you of course.”
“Well, I don’t want to see you, so you should leave.” I made sure my face was devoid of any emotion and kept my voice neutral before pulling away from him.
He chuckled—a deep and hungry chuckle that told me he was gonna ruin me if I stayed in his presence any longer.
“You can try and lie to me, little sun.” He whispered as he stepped up and caressed my cheek softly, “But the both of us know that you enjoy my company just as much as I enjoy yours.”
My carefully constructed expression cracked as my lips curved slightly, not being able to resist a smile.
Fucking bastard!
“You’re delusional.” I retorted, making him smirk.
“Maybe, but that would mean you are too.”
I rolled my eyes before walking towards the parking lot. I saw Luca and Edwin waiting for me, but they didn’t look too happy as they spotted Aries walking behind me.
“I’m taking you out to dinner.” Aries grasped my wrist and pulled me into his side, letting me feel his rigid and hard chest.
“Pass.” I argued, trying to pull myself out of his grip, but he wouldn’t let go.
Before I saw it coming, he spun me around and smashed his slips to mine. His tongue trailed across my lips, asking to be let in.
Being the weak woman I was in this moment, I obliged and parted my lips for him. I wrapped my arms around his neck and deepened the kiss, feeling the heat between our bodies.
It was like a reenactment of two months ago.
Aries pulled back with a smug smirk, “Seems like you don’t want me to leave you alone after all.”
I rolled my eyes, trying to hide the desire swirling in them.
“Maybe I just like kissing you.” I retorted, “Not a crime to want to kiss someone, Aries.”
“Never said it was, little sun.”
He grabbed my hand and interlocked our fingers before dragging me over to a silver Rolls Royce that was waiting in the parking lot.
“Caterina!” Luca yelled out, bringing me back to reality. I turned my head and saw him approaching with Edwin.
Three unfamiliar men approached off from the side and flanked Aries, putting my guard up.
“Come on, we’re going home.” Luca said out, waiting for me to join him.
Aries squeezed my hand harder, not letting go.
“She’s coming with me.” Aries responded with a voice of authority, not showing any ounce of amusement he was just showing me a minute ago. “I’ll make sure she get’s home safely.”
I could feel the power radiating off of Aries as he stood his ground against Luca and Edwin.
“Caterina, let’s go.” Edwin looked at me, urging me to follow them.
“She doesn’t have to listen to you.” Aries responded on behalf of me, “You aren’t her keepers.”
Luca didn’t like that. He rested his hand on his hip, brushing his fingers over the grip of his gun. The three men that flanked Aries, did the same.
If I didn’t shut this s**t down, it was gonna be a blood bath.
“Let’s all just calm down, okay?” I reasoned with all of them, “There’s no need for anyone to get hurt.”
Aries raised his hand, motioning for his men to stand down. I peaked back and saw them close their suit jackets, not pulling their guns.
“Caterina, lets go.” Luca ordered, pissing me off.
“No.” I glared at him, “Aries is taking me out to dinner.”
“Caterina!” Luca snapped, making Aries possessively wrap his arm around my shoulders.
“I don’t take orders from you, Luca.” I argued, “If I want to go to f*****g dinner, then I can.”
“Don’t make me call your father.”
I laughed—an annoyed kind of laugh.
“Do you really think I give a f**k if you called him?” I questioned, “By the time he gets over here, I’ll already be home.”
Aries chuckled before he let go of me and opened the back door, holding it open for me.
“Caterina, don’t.” Edwin warned.
“f**k off.” I gave them both one last look before I climbed into the back of Aries Rolls Royce.
Luca didn’t start a fight like I thought he would. He just walked away, getting into their SUV with Edwin.
Aries got in next to me, telling his driver to leave.
“They seem very..protective.” Aries drawled out with amusement lacing his voice.
“They just care about me.” I answered as I looked out the window, watching us pull out of my university parking lot.
“Why is that?” He asked, “What are they to you?”
“Does it matter?” I argued as I snapped my head towards him, knowing he was fishing for answers.
“I guess not.” He smirked, before he turned his attention over to his driver. “Back to the hotel.”
“Hotel?” I questioned, “I thought you were taking me to dinner.”
“I am taking you to dinner, but you need to change.” He looked over my outfit, scrutinizing it with his eyes. “You need something more suitable for where we’re going.”
I narrowed my eyes at him, trying to read him.
I didn’t trust him, but I got into the car with him anyways. When was I gonna stop making stupid mistakes?
I could get myself killed if I wasn’t careful.
“Don’t worry.” His voice softened as he leaned over and kissed my cheek, “I’ll take care of you.”
The broken part of me believed him, but the logical side didn’t.
I really wanted to believe him.
I needed anything—something to take this pain away.
…
I walked through Aries penthouse apartment, noticing how expensive everything was. He was obviously wealthy, but I didn’t know how he made all of his money.
I needed to find out.
There were a couple of Aries men in here, smoking cigarette’s and keeping an eye on me. They whispered in a language I didn’t understand, making me uncomfortable.
“This way, little sun.” Aries spoke, catching my attention.
I followed him down a hall, walking straight into a massive bedroom that had a lovely view of the city of Italy.
It was magnificent.
“Bathroom is off to the side.” Aries informed as his eyes lingered over my body, making me feel exposed. “You can take a shower if you want, before you get changed.”
I watched him walk into a closet before walking out with a gown bag. He laid it on the king size bed before he unzipped it, revealing a sexy red gown with the finest silk.
There was a slit down the side with a plunging neckline that was dazzled with expensive diamonds.
“Wow.” I breathed out, not knowing what else to say.
“Do you like it?” Aries questioned, “I picked it out myself.”
“It’s beautiful.” I whispered as I trailed my eyes over the gown.
“Great!” Aries smiled, “Now get ready, so we aren’t late.”
I looked him over, realizing he was already dressed in a tailored black suit.
“Are you sure you’re just taking me to dinner?” I asked, knowing that all of this was weird.
More than weird.
“Dinner, yes.” He smirked, “But it’s a little more than dinner.”
Before I could open my mouth and speak, he cut me off.
“I’ll excuse myself so you can have some privacy, unless you’d like me to stay and watch you undress.”
“No, thanks.” I cringed at the thought, no matter how sexy he was.
I haven’t let a man see me naked since Rámon.
Look how that worked out for me.
“Maybe next time.” He offered with a wink before he left the room, closing the door behind him.
I looked down at the gown, seeing how extravagant it was.
Where the hell was he taking me?
