Chapter Five
Photographs from the last decades’ Halloween balls were not as interesting as Max thought they would be when he suggested to Mr. Collier that he look through them in an attempt to get some good ideas for how to decorate, though this was just one of the many tasks he’d undertaken that morning that weren’t capable of keeping his focus. As much as he wanted to concentrate on his new job, he was distracted. Hopefully, his boss didn’t notice. So far, he hadn’t said anything or even so much as given Max a sideways glance. Still, with it being the second day on the job, he needed to find a way to pay more attention to work and less attention to a certain blonde.
He was hoping Lexi would text him at some point during the morning to let him know that Tyson had gotten her belt fixed.
