Chapter 5
Jude watched as the woman walked away from him a second time. How was it possible she was here merely a few hours after he’d only met her? Again, the likelihood that she might be stalking him occurred to him.
He had to admit she’d felt good in his arms, and her soft gardenia scent had almost brought him to his knees. She’d been soft in all the right places, even with the air of fragility he’d sensed about her.
Veronica—that was what the older woman by her side had called her. It was a beautiful name, fitting for such a gorgeous lady. Jude had fought the urge to draw her closer every second she’d been in his arms. But maybe he was feeling this way because it’d been a while since he had been in a relationship.
