I chat with both of them for a while, but I leave when it's time to pick up the boys from school.
I try to shake the annoyance growing inside me because Theo talked to Rahul instead of me... until the boys get in the car and Knox starts talking about how Theo texted him earlier, too.
"What were you guys talking about?"
"Nothing important. I was just telling him about the new console you bought us, he said he wanted to play with us once he comes back."
Oh… so he wasn't even busy, he was talking about video games with my brother. Okay.
When I get home I look at our conversation again. We said goodnight last night. I sent the last text, but he didn't say good morning like he has every day since he left.
