“Anong sinasabi mo na nagsisinungaling si Dad? Wait,” I paused with my eyes wide open, “does he know you're alive? Don't tell me nagsinungaling siya sa akin para lang madala niya ako sa family business na i—”
“No, no. No, Rain. That's not it. Your guess is a little close but it's not just that.”
Oh. Sh*t. Ano ba talaga itong kasinungalingan ni Dad?
“Dad has been lying to us all this time,” Laura continued, “Not only to you, but to me as well.”
“Mm-hmm?”
I can’t really believe anything she says lalo na at ramdam ko na may nanonood pa rin sa amin. I still feel that they are forcing Laura to lie and go against Dad. Yet, Laura is not the type to easily be afraid of a threat.
