Chapter1(MSFH)

Seellyna's POV "You always bring disgrace to our family" dad yelled over his shoulder. I saw him starting to convulse violently. Anger, frustration were on his face. A chilling terror crept over me as I looked at how he balled up his finger. I might be rewarded with a bunch of slaps on my cheeks any moment. "Why can't you be like your sister? Why can't you improve your grades?" Daddy's shouts rang in my ears once again. He threw a paper in front of me, showing the marks I received for this year in high school. "Aren't you ashamed of all those marks?" I willed myself not to cry, but deep down, I was bursting inside. I'm in pain but trying to endure it silently. "You are a disgrace to the Alcantara family!" dad exclaimed before finally turning away. I saw Mom's pitiful face before following her husband. The countess looked with sad and sternly serious eyes at me before turning her back. I tearfully picked up the papers that had been scattered on the floor. What can I do? This is all my mind can handle. No matter how much effort I put into my studies, I can never reach the level where my twin sister is at now. No matter what I do, no matter how hard I study, I will never be my sister. I don't know how to get such a high average grade. I don't know how to be my sister, who's always good at everything. Academic studies may not align with my active and adventurous nature, but I'm doing my best. I understand the struggle and frustration, and I just want to find my own path to success. "You deserved it." I turned around when I heard someone speak behind me. She's eyeing me and a wry smile twisting her lips. I saw hatred. She crossed her arms while laughing her ass off. She even stomped on the papers I was trying to pick up. "Why bother picking that up when it's just trash anyway?" she sneered. I looked at my twin. My twin who I could never see eye to eye with. SHe's an angel in front of a lot of people, but I'm the only one who knows that she's evil. Again, she's a two-faced b***h. She has a personality that would tick off the devil on his throne. Good at hiding. "Give it back to me! I said as she took my drawing book. "This is trash anyway, so it should be torn apart," she mocks me and began tearing my drawing book apart. That's all I got and now, I am left with nothing. I could only watch her while tears streaming down my face as she destroyed the one thing that brings me joy. "There, I'm done," she smirked. "You won't gain anything from your doodling. If you focus on improving your grades, maybe Daddy will be proud of you," she said jokingly as she walked away, laughing. I sat on the floor and kept crying. Sobering, I grabbed the pieces that were scattered all across the living room. This is the only thing that makes me happy. Drawing, painting, taking pictures, a lousy, useless dream for them, but it means a lot to me. I hugged my knees to my chest and peered through my fingers. My eyes were swollen and my chest sore from sobbing. I find myself wondering why I couldn't be more like Celine. Why am I not as intelligent as her? Why can't I do everything she can do? "Mam Seellyna, we are here now." My mind snapped back to reality when I heard Mang Gardo's words. I did not realize that I was once again remembering a nightmare from my past. A time when I felt completely helpless and couldn't even defend myself. I smirked at my thoughts. I was always belittled, scared whenever Dad raised his voice. I would just lower my head when my relatives talked about me in my face. I felt helpless when my twin decided to pick on me. But I promised myself that I would never allow that to happen again, especially how my twin treated me. I am wearing a condescending smirk as I stepped out of the car. I'm no longer a living marionette, frightened when Daddy yells, hiding even if I've done nothing wrong, always saying yes even if I don't want to. Sometimes, I even become the punching bag of my twin. But she will never be able to do it again. Especially now that she is lying in the hospital. "Welcome to Casa Maharlika Ma'am", a hotel employee greeted me warmly. "This way to Mr Funtabella's private place". I followed him. He's leading me to where I can find the man I'll be marrying. This is a dinner date for both sides, more likely introducing, where we get to know each other better, the Alcantara and Funtabella, understand each other's businesses and backgrounds. However, I have to be honest - I am not comfortable with this arrangement and I don't care. I don't agree with this. It feels like I'm being forced to go against my will. Dad should know that. I know he's not expecting this, neither, Mom. I looked at my phone. I'm almost one hour late. I can imagine how Dad's silently cursing right now. And I can't wait to see what his reaction would be to how I grabbed myself. I can only imagine how frustrated they will feel when they see what I am wearing. I wish you could hear the sound of my heels against the floor. The echo sounds cool too, but nope. I'm wearing a pair of shoes, complimenting the black clothes and jeans I chose to wear. I'm clad all with black. Well, my whole appearance right now was designed for one purpose. That's to embarrass my Dad in front of his future family-in-law. "Welcome ma'am" a man smiled at me as he opened the door. As soon as I entered, I immediately saw a man with his back facing me. His gaze shifted reflectively to nothing in particular. So he's the Fiancé.. My Sister's Fiancé..
