7 Damien’s POV “Now you’re being very smart and cheeky at the same time and don’t expect me to credit you for that, using my weakness against me” “Hey Damien, I agreed to living with you because I want to be far away from my world of hurt but it seemed they also followed me here. I don’t have a choice than to stick around with you and be by your side so you can protect me against my enemies and in return i aid you and your reign, everyone wins at the end” I couldn’t deny the fact that Allen was extremely smart which was she was chosen as my Mortal aid. I never regretted this decision of the moon goddess, even if she’s not up to my standards I have better ways of making her worth it. Just as we’re exchanging words, Cecilia walked in with her luggage, as usual acting all happy and clingy towards me so I would let everyone know she’s my mortal aid and the future Luna of this pack. “Hey Cecilia” “Damien, you never told me that we had a new maid joining us today” “Cecilia let’s go inside, I guess you’re tired from the long trip and you would need some rest to soothe your mind and relax your bones” I avoided her words, knowing how she never failed to pick on everyone’s confidence. Allen smirked as she watched us walk into the house together, I didn’t want her to be pained, she’s just my mortal aid after all. She won’t be the Luna of the pack only if I choose, Cecilia won’t allow another woman take her place. “I’m confused right now, the war between Cecilia and Allen could get worse and losing both of them might lead to my death, losing Allen would lead to my death but losing Cecilia would make me lose the trust of the Alpha makers and even my father wouldn’t allow me marry a mortal, since he’s a good friend of Cecilia’s father” I heaved a deep sigh as Cecilia motioned to kiss me, i evaded her advances. “What’s wrong with you Damien? You look so confused, what’s eating you up?” “Showing up unannounced is very strange to me” “Aren’t you happy to see me? Damien, why would you even say these words? You’re my husband and this would be my new home so why won’t I come in whenever I want to come in?” Cecilia heaved a deep sigh as she stared into my eyes. “Is it because of that lady I met outside? Is she the one filling your head with sweet words to toss me aside? Is she going to take my place in your life? Is she my rival?” “Enough!!! I’ve had enough. I would like to be left alone” I roared as she reluctantly trudged out of my chambers. “This isn’t happening to me!!!” I grinned as I felt like seeing my father, hoping he would have good advice on the best way to sort this out before it escalates. When I got to my father’s private chambers, I realized Cecilia’s presence, wondering what she wanted to tell him that warrants her to go into his private chambers. “I don’t know but I think Damien is cheating on me, he has another lady in his life that has taken my place or would I say on the verge of taking my place in his life” “Who told you that?” “I met a lady with him smiling and exchanging words at the courtyard” I knew Cecilia would confront my father about this. “That’s his mortal aid, Allen. You don’t have to worry about her, she’s only helping my son and once the Alpha makers sees him fit to become Alpha, I would make sure she’s gone and you regain your position in his life. Just act ignorant” my father advised her, “I can’t be ignorant, what if he falls in love with her and totally forgets about me ?” She disagreed with his words. “He would never do that, not on my watch. The Alpha makers won’t allow him marry a mere human” “She’s human!!!” Cecilia sounded shocked, I didn’t see the expression on her face but I could tell from the tone of her voice. “She’s a mortal and soon she would be sacrificed to the moon goddess as the human sacrifice used to atone for our sins” I gulped down my throat knowing that I was the one that announced her as the next human sacrifice. “When the time comes you’ll be the one seated by his side as the Luna of this pack, don’t get yourself worked up about anything” “I won’t stress it but I would make her life a living hell within these walls” Cecilia marked her words as I listened to her proceeding footsteps, I stood behind a pillar so it would be hard for her to notice my presence. I sauntered into my father’s private chambers, he was a bit surprised to see me. “Not who I expected, Damien what brings you to me? I know something’s wrong which is why you couldn’t wait for me to come to you rather you came to me… so tell me what’s bottling your emotions?” “Father I need your advise on how to manage the feud that would ensue between Allen and Cecilia” I stated the main reason of meeting him in his private chambers. “Who would you support when the fight starts?” “The one at fault father” I conceded to his words, wondering why he would ask such question. “Don’t do that son, what if the mortal is right and Cecilia is wrong, you’ll stand behind a mere mortal over the only daughter of a powerful man. Think about it son, remember you’re trying to impress the Alpha makers on the reason why you should be the next Alpha of this pack” my father advised as he patted my shoulders. “Allen would never do anything to harm anyone, she’s just too innocent. I don’t think she’s ready for a feud at this point. You and I know she’s my mortal aid and she’s escaped this pack before, I don’t want to lose her again” I divulged, “Keep her caged in then, let her be a slave to you. She’s human and she’s supposed to serve you and that’s because you’re god to her” my fathers words sunk deep into my mind. “Isn’t it wickedness?” I asked hesitantly, “It’s dominance!!”
