Vivienne's POV I didn't stop. I didn't stop walking even though the pain in my legs were more than enough reason for me to do so, or at least find a spot to rest for a little while. I had considered it, especially when the sole of my feet had started burning up, and when each step felt like I was walking barefoot across a ground tainted with broken glass and even sharper needles. While I felt like I was going to lose my balance any time soon, my legs weren't the only part of my body fighting for their life. I blinked back as many times as I could, but doing that didn't reduce the chances of the dam at the back of my eyes staying put.
