CHAPTER 5-XAVIER'S POV

After not being able to see her, I spent the rest of my classes sulking. It came to break and rumors were going around that the girls I saw earlier were from the Devera pack and also that one of them were Luca's mate. I was pissed to say the least , that she was from the Devera pack and yes I was going to bring up the issue with Luca but as soon as I entered the corridor , I see Luca talking to his mate-Analia. She had shoulder length black hair and these brown eyes which I'm sure is the exact reason why Luca is falling for her.

Break went by and there was still no sign of my mate but that all changed when I smelt her scent. I looked right; left and center and finally I spotted her, as on cue she was also looking for me and then our eyes found each other. I walked over to her and the closer I got the more my heartbeat increased. We were standing right before each other -I looked into her beautiful crystal blue eyes , she also had beautiful long platinum blonde hair, I could tell she was quite fit by how thin she looked. I examined her closely -she had light freckles around her nose area, rosy lips, very fair in complexion and she had a beauty spot on the side of her lip. I didn't quite understand how beautiful she was, she also examined me and by the smile forming on her lips -she liked what she was seeing.

I stepped closer to her and hugged her , she hugged me back-she wasn't that short , she was 5'6 and I was 6 foot. Her scent infiltrated my senses and I hugged her tighter . It felt like ages before we pulled apart . I decided to speak first ''what's your name?'' ''Roxanna and what about you?'' the moment she mentioned her name I felt at ease. ''I'm Xavier Santiago !'' her expression changed from being happy to a little frown , she looked away from me and I figured out why. I placed my hand on her chin urging her to look at me ''your pack is spared, there will be no war between us but let me mention something else-you! my very beautiful mate will not be spared from me , I will shower you with lots of love and I'll make you feel like the only girl in the world , are you ready for that?'' she smiled once again-I don't know why but every time she smiled or looked in my eyes I forget that Xavier Santiago doesn't usually behave like this but Roxanna had this affect on me.

''I've never seen an Alpha bow down to someone lower then them!'' Roxanna states enlightening me with her sweet voice . I smirk and respond to her'' babe you having that affect on me !'' she smiles and messes up my hair a little bit. ''Well then that's a good thing!'' we were so close to each other and I was so tempted to kiss those rosy lips of hers. "How about I take you out tonight?'' I asked her hoping she would say yes ''that would be lovely but our packs won't be too happy about that!'' ''don't worry about that I'll handle it!'' I assured Roxanna that I'll take care of it and I am willing to make peace with their pack. Its actually quite funny how a few hours ago - I was ready to win this war and now I'm putting a stop to it. Today couldn't get any better.
