CHAPTER 8-ROXANNA'S POV

After telling Xavier about me, I couldn't really pick up on how he felt about me. Our date went surprisingly good, afterwards Xavier decided to take me to his favorite place-which I had no idea about. ''We here!'' I snap out of my thoughts and jump out of the car, as I'm out I take a look at the scenery in front of me. His favorite place is this cave which is high up on rocks -it has a view of the sea. Xavier helped me climb up and soon we were in the cave. I walked further in the cave ,there was no light only darkness -which was lit by the moonlight, being a werewolf I could see what's happening. The cave had these paintings on the walls which displayed supernatural creatures. ''Don't wonder too far in the cave!'' I was startled by Xavier's voice, I walked to go and see where he is. I see him sitting by the edge of the cave so I took a seat next to him. I looked at him and he was looking at the sea, I decided to speak breaking the awkward silence.

''Why do you come here?'' he sighs and responds'' to find peace!'' I narrow my eyes at him and he looks at me-in his amber eyes lit by the moonlight I see sadness, it was too overwhelming for me to see. His Xavier Santiago-the most dangerous Alpha ,but that title doesn't please him, something about the way he looked at me , ignited something in my heart. I could not only feel his emotions but I could see it in his eyes-flashes of his past swirled around me, it got so much that I looked away from him, got up and walked further in the cave. I placed my hands on the rock wall and used my mind to create some light in the cave, once the cave was properly lit-I examined the paintings. There was a story behind it and it all lead to what I saw in Xavier's eyes.

''This place contains a lot of my memories and I'm so used to it consuming me up!'' at Xavier's words I turn around and look at him , his looking intently at me , his eyes have no trace of emotion, his amber eyes doesn't have that spark to it -it dimmed. Xavier suddenly moves closer to me until I'm backed up against the cave wall, his one hand goes around my waist and he places his other hand on my chin urging me to look in his eyes. '' Roxanna, I've waited for you my whole life and now that I have you -I can't spend time with you. I'm dangerous, I've been through things and those things have caused me pain which is why my pack is the most dangerous!'' Xavier stops speaking and looks in my eyes, his mind is blank but behind all that I see a charcoal grey wolf with these red eyes looking at me. Xavier snaps out of his trance and talks to me'' your power is great, your eyes see the hidden but your heart wants me, you do things to me without even knowing but I can't give into you because my demons will hunt you down and I can't let that ever happen to you!''
