CHAPTER 9-XAVIER'S POV

My story would never have a happy ending even though I'm fortunate enough to have Roxanna in my life. If I were to hurt her, my heart wouldn't survive it, her pack would hunt me down but Roxanna's eyes will kill me before she says anything. I am intoxicated by her power, her beauty, her intelligence but also by her! There's always going to be a price to pay when it comes to love and I don't know how far I'm willing to go.
[ ROXANNA'S POV ]
One minute we were in the cave, the next I wasn't anymore. Startled by the dream I had , I woke up, my eyes adjusted to the morning light. I made my bed, opened my curtains and after that I took a quick shower, brushed my teeth and did what I had to do. I walked into my bedroom and got dressed in this light blue jeans with a black crop top, I put on my high top black converse shoes. I did my mascara; eyeliner and my hair I left loose. I grabbed my car keys, school bag and left my room. I reached the bottom of the stairs and quickly made myself some coffee, after that I left the house getting into my car-Audi R8 matte black. I needed to get to school, I needed to find Xavier-he owes me an explanation. I drove to school with the radio off , I drove as fast as I could.

I reached the school, parked my car and got out. I ran up the stairs and entered the school. For 7:15 am -the school was pretty packed. I decided not to delay so I went around the school looking for him. I thought about it for a second, I need to check the fields. I run outside and I see his pack training-I walk over to them and they immediately look at me. I ignore them and focus on finding Xavier, that's when I hear his voice. I turn around and see him instructing his pack, I walk over to them and they leave , leaving me alone with Xavier.
[ XAVIER'S POV ]
Roxanna is standing in front of me, looking really upset. ''What the hell happened last night? I was in the cave and next minute I was not!!'' she was seething with anger. ''You should stay away from me Roxanna!'' as soon as I said those words , she loses it. ''I SHOULD STAY AWAY FROM YOU, ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? I'M YOUR FREAKIN MATE, I'M NOT JUST GOING TO COME AROUND WHEN YOU WANT ME TOO!!!'' I see tears forming in her eyes so I speak up'' Roxanna!'' she looks away from me'' just don't you dare call me by my name-you not worth it!!'' before I could say anything else-she left. I run my fingers through my hair, she told me I'm not worth it- I screwed up so bad.
