Akera turned to face Endrado who had a displeased expression on his face.
" Does it ever have to be death? Do you want Alaris back or not? " He asked and Endrado moved his jaw, a conflicted look in his eyes. It's no longer a new thing. Everyone knew he wanted Alaris back more than anything. There were even speculations that Alaris was his soulmate but they were just Rumours. They were never proven.
Endrado's heart twisted and clenched in his chest. He hated this feeling. The feeling that he was about to die from the pain in his old fragile heart. His eyes darted to the feet of the woman and his eyes flashed golden. He despised her but for the sake of Alaris, he would pardon her. He would let her live, for now.
" So .... What do you suggest we do with her?" Endrado asked Akera, his eyes still fixed on the dirty creature before him.
" I don't know," Akera answered with a sigh. He knows for sure the girl was not meant to die but did not know what to do with her. He was sure Alaris wouldn't want a wolf by his side but as it was now, it seemed Galire was fond of wolves. Since they are dealing with Galire, it would be better to please him for the time being.
" Let's marry her to him." Akera blurted and Endrado's eyes widened. He couldn't believe his ears. He didn't expect such a suggestion from Akera but if only he knew Akera was also shocked by the words that left his mouth.

" Never." Endrado declined. It has never happened before and it would never happen. Not when he is still alive. A dragon does not marry a wolf.
" Ehm.. come to think of it. The she-wolf has been keeping him busy for days. The city was peaceful because of her. Don't you think if she stayed.. a little longer, she could bring him back to his sane state? " Akera tried to explain. Even he doubts his own words.
" What made you think he will not kill her when he is tired of playing with her? " Endrado asked and Akera shrugged.
" What's the difference? Wouldn't it be better if he killed her himself? " Akera answered and Endrado sighed. There was no difference according to Akera. If they killed the woman, it would provoke Galire which would put everyone in danger. But if Galire killed the woman himself, then they won't be held responsible for it.
He glanced at Akera. He didn't know Akera was this sensible. He had always been the dumb one amongst the four elders but looking at him right now, Akera isn't really dumb, he has a solution for almost everything. But Endrado was still angry about marrying a wolf to the dragon. Endrado is someone known for respecting traditions. It would be a shame and a stain on his reputation if anyone knew he allowed such a forbidden thing to occur.
He sighed, his sweaty palms curling into fists by his side. His hands are tied. There was nothing he could do. He love his people and wouldn't put them in danger because of something as trivial yet important as this.
He raised his head up and looked the dragon in the eyes.
" Can we speak with your w_olf for some minutes? We will not touch her," he asked, his face twisted when he mentioned the word "wolf ". Endrado can't promise that he won't lay his hands on her.
Galire snorted and stepped away, revealing Athena whose chest rose and fell frantically.
" Go on, Athena. The elders will not touch you," Galire told her as if sensing her hesitation and fear.
Athena had no choice but to believe him even when she knew she shouldn't. Slowly, she stepped forward and approached the elderly men in suits.
They led her to a place where the dragon could still see them.
" How long have you been here with the dragon?" Endrado started the question and the venom in his voice made Athena's heart pound. She has never seen such scary old men before. Perhaps if she had paid attention in her species class in school, she would have known how an angry elder dragon looked.
" Five days," Athena answered. She wasn't entirely sure if it was five but it wouldn't be less than five.
" What happened between you and the dragon?" Endrado asked, wanting to know the root of everything.
Athena cleared her dry throat and replied in a soft low voice.
" He caught me in the woods when I was during my routing run training and brought me to this cave. He has not hurt me. Nothing has happened between us," she lied. She couldn't bring herself to tell them how she was caught by Galire and how he f****d her with his tongue.
Her cheeks flushed at the thought of his tongue gliding against her s*x and she pressed her thighs together, quenching the tingles that were about to spark.
Akera and Endrado shared a look.
" He didn't hurt you?" Akera asked, stunned and Athena shook her head.
“He only made me do things to entertain him.” she answered.
" Things like what?" Endrado cuts in, his eyes laced with curiosity.
" Made me run and he will catch me. For fun." She answered truthfully for the first time and something flashed in their eyes which made her heart pick up. Did they discover her lies? If only she knew that wasn't the answer they were expecting.
" Elder Endrado here and I have decided.."
" Elder Endrado?" Athena's voice trembled slightly. She had seen the name somewhere and that was when it clicked. She remembered. It was in one of her classmate's books. Endrado is a dragon lord. Ruthless and despise wolves to the core. He rules Eastern Dracorith. She never imagined herself standing face-to-face with him someday. Not even in this lifetime.
" Yes." Akera answered firmly.
Then what business do these elders have with the dragon who has captured her?
" We are offering you a twenty-five days contract marriage to the dragon...." Athena shook her head, mumbling " No, " and cutting Akera off.
" No... I can't... I ... I cannot marry him, the dragon. I don't want to... " Her voice faded away, her ears ringing but she maintained her balance.
Endrado almost sighed in relief. He had silently prayed for the woman to say no to the marriage proposal but Akera shut a glare at Athena, a glare that made her tremble.
" Do you know how many women pray day and night to get this opportunity that you are rejecting? " His tooth gritted. He never expected the woman to turn down the offer easily. If Galire captured her from the woods and kept her alive till now without harming her then there must be a reason behind it.
" I am not like other women. I don't want this," Athena responded, her voice barely above a whisper but they heard her.
" Listen wolf, you are the imperial heir's captive slave. This is not the werewolf's world. This is not your pack. This is an imperial decree. YOU WILL MARRY the feral imperial dragon heir. It has been DECIDED." Akera said with a tone of finality, leaving Athena spiraling in the new information that was just unveiled. The dragon who captured her was the imperial dragon heir, Alaris who went feral decades before she was born.
