Chapter 15 “You awake?” No,” Mark mumbled, his voice thick with sleep. Ignoring him, I said, “I just realised something. It’s a year ago today that you came to live with me.” “Oh yeah,” he said, sounding more awake. “Want to do anything special?” “You remember the meal I cooked for you that night?” “Chicken and pasta?” I was thrilled he’d remembered. “I want to cook it again.
