As I saw her walking away, I couldn't stop grinning. I just loved to tease her and see her flustered face. But I must say, she has immense control over herself. If I had seduced any other chick this way, she would be on her knees, begging me to f**k her already. But this girl, she really is on another level. But, that way it's more fun, to break those high walls she has made around herself and then crush her completely, I can't wait to see her completely broken, only then will I feel at ease.

"Bro, I thought you had decided to stop bullying her and instead make her fall for you." Nate said coming towards me. The other two following behind

"I have. But a little flirting won't hurt, right?" I winked at them and laughed

"Flirting? You were basically moving your hands all over her body." Tyler laughed

"But she likes it so----- that's fine I guess"

"By the way---- why were you so flustered by her?" Kai finally spoke. Have I told you how I hated his big brain? I may have fooled the other two with my laugh, but Kai surely noticed my quickened breath and my flustered cheeks .

"I wasn't. I was just acting" I said sternly

He just nodded but I knew he wasn't convinced.

"Let's start the match," I said, trying to change the topic.

"One more thing, I have played a little game to make her fall for you" Kai said

"What did you do?" I asked

"Nothing much. Just think of it as putting some good words about you in front of her" he replied and he and Nate shared an eye contact and laughed.

I was totally unaware what it could have been, but I trust these guys. So I just let it be.

"One more thing, what suddenly got into you that you decided to change your way? I mean, this all, 'act good' thing." Kai questioned again

Actually that day, when she slapped me and I dragged her to her room, fought with her and left, I saw Carter entering the girls hostel somehow. I knew exactly why he was here. So I hid behind a pillar and stood there. As soon as Vinni saw her, she hugged him tightly and then they headed inside her room. But the dumb people they are, forgot to lock the door, so I went ahead to peek inside and I saw them hugging inside too.

I don't know why but seeing them in that position boiled my blood. I may have touched her at many different places but still seeing some other guy just hugging her was too much for me to handle. Was I jealous? Of course not, or that is what I tried to convince myself. That it was because I was afraid that my plan would fail and not because of jealousy. But I too knew the real reason. But anyways, I can't tell them this reason. So I try to think of something.

"Nothing, I just want to get this over with real quick. And given that she is already attracted to me, it won't take me much time for me to make her fall in love with me." I tried to speak as casually as possible

"And now, no more questions, let's get back to practice" I said before he could ask any further questions.

Days have passed and I am still trying to be nice to her. It gets hard sometimes when she tries to oversmart me or is intolerably rude, but still I keep up with it for my final plan to work. I am gonna make her pay for all these days. I smirked to myself.

"Why are you so lost these days?" Kai asked

"Nothing much. Just thinking if my plan will work out well."

"It will. Don't worry." He said caressing my back.

We were sitting on the players bench on the basketball court, while others were warming up. That important match, for which we have been practicing, is finally here, today. Dignity University basketball team, the team who had won continuously for ten years before we, the Gladiators, came into picture, was our opponent today. And there were some rumors that they have a much stronger team this year because they have appointed a professional player, to reclaim their basketball superiority. But we too had practiced hard and were in no mood to let them win.

I had invited Vinni for the match and she had agreed to come, but she was not here yet. In her words 'I have no interest in seeing you, but I like basketball, so I guess I will come' she had said. This girl is really something.

I kept looking around but she was not here yet. Whereas, the bleachers were almost overflowing with people holding banners and chanting our name. Usually, I wouldn't require anything to hype me up, just holding basketball in my hand was enough to give me strength to do my best in the match and win of course, but today, I don't know why, my eyes kept searching for her, to hype me up and tell me to win the match. I wanted her here to cheer me throughout the match, but sadly she wasn't here. Soon the referee whistled and the officials announced that the match was about to start. I took heavy steps towards the centre of the court.

Just when the referee was about to throw the ball into the air for a jump ball, my eyes caught a glimpse of something, and without thinking anything, I ran there. There she was. Sitting in the first row, on the seat that I had reserved for her and her friend Erika. She was shocked to see me running towards the game, she kept looking here and there, but my eyes were just fixed straight ahead on her. I went and stood just in front of her.

"What are you doing here?" She asked surprised

"Aren't you gonna wish me luck?" I questioned back

"All the best. Do your best. You have got this." She said and smiled "but now go back quickly, they are waiting for you to start the game"

That's when I realized what I had done. I literally ran to her from the middle of the court. I could feel all the eyes staring at me. So I turned back quickly and got back to the court. And soon the game started.

We were in the lead, right from the beginning. We didn't had much trouble tackling them, except for one guy, who I suppose was the professional one. But we decided to change our strategy a little. Now one of our players was always on him, blocking him from even touching the ball. So the game was pretty much in our control. Also, during this same time me and the boys extended the lead by almost 30.

Just a minute before the half time, the professional player in the opposite team sprained his ankle while taking a lay up shot and couldn't play anymore. Now there was nothing they could do. This was our game now. We had already won, but still we had to finish the game. But I let others play and I instead went to the bleachers. I asked the guy sitting beside Vinni to vacate his seat for me and he obeyed of course.

"What are you doing here? Half of the match is still remaining." She said

"It's fine. The boys will handle it." I replied nonchalantly "Do you want me to get something for you?" I continued without even sparing her a glance. I was too embarrassed to ask her this, looking in her eyes.

"Huh?" She questioned blankly

God! Why is this girl so dumb?

"Doesn't the guy usually get a cold drink or something for the girl?"

"The guy does but we are not on a date here" she replied sternly trying to show as if she was busy watching the match

"Sounds right! But does that mean I should get you a cold drink or not?" I asked, still confused

She facepalmed herself. "No. I am okay."

We stayed silent for sometime after which I tried to break the silence again.

"Vinni" I whispered

"Yes?" She whispered back

"Will you be my girlfriend if we win this match?" I questioned, looking at her

"What? No way!"

"What about a kiss then?" I whispered again

"No! No! No! Not at all. It's clearly evident that you are gonna win this match. Do I look that naive to bet on this match? And have you always been this dumb or are you getting dumber day by day or are you perhaps putting on a show?" She inquired, raising her eyebrows at me.

"None of the above. I just saw something similar in a movie. So I thought of trying that here. But it seems like the movie script does not work in real life" I defended myself and shrugged my shoulders.

She just laughed out "And you tell me I am the one living in a fairytale world." She laughed some more until I glared at her and shut her up.

"Now let me concentrate on the match" she cleared her throat and said and turned her eyes back to the match as if it was the most interesting thing in the world.
