"Jin, don't do this to me," I begged, literally.
He simply evilly smirked and spoke, "Lisa, I'm gonna turn you into someone you've never been."
"No, please!"
"Hell yeah!"
"This is cornier than any movie I've ever watched," Suga spat. The rest snickered.
"C'mon, there's barely an hour left, Lizzy," Jimin reminded us, and Jin instantly got on to work. I was already wearing my black and grey outfit, and Yumi had gotten a couple of accessories with her since Jungkook had informed her about the plan to set me up with Junsoo.
Traitor, I tell you.
Jin curled the ends of my hair, and applied the dark eye shadow and lip gloss his mom used, and within minutes, I was ready for him to boast as his 'masterpiece'.
"See? I'm the one who did her makeup!" Jin boasted.
"Whatever, she looks awesome," Namjoon complimented.
"Yeah! She looks like a doll!" Yumi clapped her hands, and the rest nodded, appreciating me.
"That's because I did the makeup!" Jin tried, but the rest ignored him.
"I'll drop her to the venue, and you guys do whatever you want. I'll be back in fifteen," Namjoon said, and while the rest walked out of the room, Jin protested, "But I need the credit for doing her makeup! Hello?"
O~O~O
"Are you sure I'll be able to do this? I mean, I've never been on a date," I admitted, and Namjoon lightly chuckled, "Don't worry, it'll be fine. I'm just a call away."
"I'm trusting you with this," I warned him, exiting the car, and he laughed and held up his hands in a surrender motion.
"Bye," he said, and reversed the car, and I turned to enter the restaurant, decorated by vibrant lights circled around the trees, leading to a pathway with bright lamps on its sides. Upon opening the huge, furnished wooden door, a warmness caressed my skin, which was somehow freezing in the cold weather outside.
I moved my gaze around to search for my date, and I saw him sitting by the large glass wall. I walked up to him, and perhaps by the ticking of my heels, he moved his head to turn and see me before I could approach him.
"Hey," he cheerfully said, and I was initially overwhelmed by his excitement. What on earth was he so excited about?
"Hey," I said and sat down.
Silence. Can you hear the crickets screeching in the background?
"Uh..." he was just looking at me creepily the entire time, and I took the initiative to introduce a conversation between us to end the awkward silence, "Junsoo, how's your day going?"
"Technically, it's night, but yeah, it was cool."
"Oh."
Silence, again.
"What would you like to eat?" he asked me.
"Anything you like," I replied.
Silence, yet again.
"Ugh!" I groaned, tired of the imaginary crickets screeching inside my head, "I'm sorry, I'm just way too bad at making conversations!"
"That's okay, because I'm like, worse than you at it," he admitted, shaking his head at me.
"So, let me confess this - I've never been in a relationship, never dated anyone, so I totally don't know how this thing works."
"Can't say much, because I sail in the same boat, haha," he chuckled, and I heaved out a sigh of relief. At least both of us were in the same position.
Silence, once again.
*ThReE mInUtEs LaTeR*
Silence.
Have I gone deaf or what?
None of us were saying anything, just awkwardly looking at each other and checking our phones to avoid the clumsy eye contact.
"I think dates are meant to be romantic," Junsoo stated matter-of-factly, and crossed his arms over his chest.
"Aha? Tell that to my corpse," I muttered under my breath. He extended his hands towards me and motioned me to join him. I entwined my fingers with his and he breathed, and said, "Let's try to be romantic."
"You mean cheesy?"
"Yeah," he chuckled. Then, he looked straight into my eyes and said, "Uh, you, uh, with you brown hair and fair face, you, um, look like a burnt omelette."
"Okay, I'm leaving." I withdrew my hands from his
