Between Two Hearts

Chapter 27

Third person POV:

Shelly just reached the office after leaving Shaina in her school. She goes straight to the ceo office. This is the first day of her joining as the new secretary to the ceo.

She knocked on the door then a faint come in is heard and she enter the office.

Yash is seated on his chair behind the large oak table. All files are scattered on the table.

He looked up from a file that he is working on. His eyes landed on the Shelly and a big smile stretched on his face.

"Finally you came...I miss you so much shell" he said and stand up from his chair. Then he engulf her in a tight hug. Shelly rolled her eyes on him.

"Leave me...don't be so dramtic" she said and push him away.

"Now get serious and do some work" she said and take a seat across him.

Yash nodded his head and take his seat. Then they both start to work. Shelly arrange all the files in her office and arrange all the important project that are currently needed to pay more attention and plans.

Then she go to Yash and give him that files that requires his immediate attention. He goes to all to the work mode and start to read the files and the clauses.

He is very hard working aside from his funny nature.

It's already past lunch time when Shelly have some free time from all the work. They both order the takeout and eat in his office. Then she go to her old office and get her belongings from their.

She start to arrange all the things in her new office that are beside the ceo office. She just finished her work and sat on her chair to relax.

Then her phone make a beep sound she checked her phone and see that she received a message.

"Pick you at six"

It's the messages that show on the phone. A sighed escaped from my mouth.

It's Spencer that sends the text to her. She stare at the text.

Yesterday evening when they get to the coffee shop they get a call from her aunt Rita. She asked her to come home because she has something to talk. And that doesn't wait.

So she told Spencer that she had to go and they can meet later.

He said ok and drop her oof on her aunt house.

When she came inside the house first thing she see is Dolly. That are crying hysterically. Aunt is sat across her. And uncle James sat beside her.

"What happened why are you crying" she asked her as she came towards the sitting area.

Everyone looked up at her. Dolly came to her and hugged her tightly.

"Hey...stop crying I'm here now ok" she said to her to stop her crying.

"Mom knows that I want to shift and she's start to make a fuss and stop me " she said between her crying.

She understood that's why her aunt called her to come fast. She patt her back and look at her aunt.

She sat on the couch and make Dolly sat beside her. Then she look at her aunt.

"Aunt Rita if she want to move then please let her. She's now adult she can make her own decisions "I say to her.

Her aunt looked at her with shocked expression she wants her to support her decision about Dolly to move out from the house. She didn't expect her to support Dolly instead of her.

"No she's still a child and I don't want my only girl live outside when we can raise her" she said and looked at uncle James.

A sighed escaped from Shelly mouth and she took Dolly to her room. She told her to relax and left the room.

She wants to talk with her aunt without her presence so she can make her aunt understood.

She sat beside her aunt and take her hand in her.

" aunt she's now a grown-up and you have to show some trust on her ".

"How can you say that Shelly you know I love her so much she's my child I don't want her to live all alone" she said to me with teary eyes.

"OK then she can live with me in my apartment and then she became confident enough then she can move by doing that she can experience the freedom and responsibility she have to take" she tell them.

They both looked at her then at each other.

"I think that's a great idea." Uncle James said.

Aunt nodded her head slightly and got up.

"Shaina is fast asleep in her room she eats her dinner" she said and left from here.

Shelly also got up and go to guest room where Shaina is sleeping.

She kissed her on the head and looked at her lovingly.

Shelly POV :

So much happened in last night but in the end Dolly become happy to move out from her parents house.

Now Spencer want to meet. I take a deep breath and go to the ceo office.

"Yash can I leave I have some work to do" I asked him. He told me not to knock. So I came inside directly.

He looked up from the file and nodded.

"Yeah...everything is almost finish what work do you have" he asked me.

"I can take you there" he offered.

"Thank you and no I can go it's nothing important I just want to spend some time with Shaina and Dolly is also moving tomorrow so I have to clean some space for her" I told him and say him bye.

Then I came back to my office and call Spencer.

Ring

Ring

"Hey" he said on other side of the phone. And I can tell there is smile on his face.

"Hi...I called you to say that if you free right now them we can meet and talk about that you want to tell me"i said hurriedly.

I don't know whenever I listen his voice a shiver run on my body. My hearts starts to beat fast.

I don't want to feel that way it felt so wrong to me. I mean he's my best friend brother.

"Right now...yeah I'm free for you ...always...I came to pick you up in ten minutes "he said.

"No ....I will come to you office entrance it will save time I'm off now"i replied.

"Ohk I will wait here " he replied.

Then I cut the call and left the office.

Then I take a taxi. Brown industries are only two block away from the Roy's. So it doesn't take much time and I arrived only in five minutes.

When I arrived their Spencer is already stand in the entrance. Looking at him feel like he's come here running. He wear a black suit that perfectly fits his broad shoulder and his bulging muscle. His eyes stared at me and I feel like he's also checking me out like I does to him.

I cleared my throat.

"I think we should hurry up" I said and mentally gagged like seriously this is I have to say no hello. Nothing.

He nodded his head and take the key from the guard and open the door of passenger side of his black Bugatti . That are parked by his driver in the entrance.

I sat in the seat and he leaned towards me. My breath hitched as I looked at him with wide eyes.

Looking at him so close make my heart beat fast. I'm sure that he can hear me. his sharp jaw line came in view in front of my eyes then he move his face towards me and looked at my eyes. He stared for some time then slowly a smirk form on his handsome face.

A clicked sound make me blink my eyes and he back away from me. He shut the door and go to the driver seat.

I mentally winced like seriously. I close my eyes and take start to deep breath. I don't want him to know that he has some effect on me.

"Are you ready"he asked and revive his car engine.

I nodded and he looked ahead then start the car.

Car ride is silent. We reached at a small restaurant that looked so cozy. A waitress come and assign us a table that are near the window. From the window you can see the sunset very nicely.

Sun rays sparked on the restaurant and it looked so warm.

We place our order. Then we both sat just stared at out of the window. I just want to start the conversation and the reason to know why he want me to be his fake girlfriend.

I looked at him and see he's already looking at me. We stared at some time then the waitress came and place our order on to the table.

"So can you tell now what is the reason" I asked to the point. I don't want to waste time. I just want to go home and spend some time with my Gemstone.

He cleared his throat and looked at me.

"Yeah...it just that when I was in my high school their is a gi...." before he complete a girl came and throw herself on him.

I looked at them with shocked expression not knowing what is happening.

I looked at Spencer and see his face also mimic me.

He quickly recover and put his hand on her shoulder and move her from him. Then he look at her and his eyes widened for some time but he quickly recovered.

"Oh my gosh....what are you doing here baby. I miss you so much. I called you last night why don't you pick up you know I can't wait for you to meet" she start to talk nonstop without giving so much time to him talk.

I looked at the girl and she's very beautiful and petite. She has a killer figure with blonde hair,blue eyes and fuller lips. She looks very beautiful.

Spencer looked at me and take my hand in his. She stops her blubbering when she see him taking my hand.

"Sarah I want to tell you at party ...meet my girlfriend Shelly "he said only looking at me with a very sweet smile on his lips. Their is also something in his eyes but I don't know what is it.

Then I looked at the girl. Her whole body language is changed and she looked at our enjoined hands with a dark scowl on her face. Then she move her eyes and looked at me.

She narrowed her eyes at me. Then she changed her face to a smile and looked at Spencer. She put her hand on his shoulder.

"Oh OK I'll meet you at party...bye" she said and kissed him in his cheek.

Before Spencer open his mouth to say anything she's already left the Cafe.

I don't talk to her but I feel so much anger like why she kissed him. I looked at Spencer and I want to hit his head why he let her kiss him.idiot.

I take my hand from his and looked at him to want a explanation.

"That girl is Sarah...we are go to the same school.she has a crush on me and like carzy person she start to stalk me. If I'm with any other girl she start to bully them. She start to behave like a psycho. I told her that I don't feel anything towards her. But she starts to come to my house and stand all night outside my house. We tell her parents but nothing happened. " he start to talk when he see my face.

He take my hand again and looked at me in the eyes.

"When it's our last day at school she said in front of everyone in the school that if after three years I'm still single then she will be my girlfriend and marry me. I don't take her seriously at that time. But she called me one week before and tell me that she waits for me. " he said and lower his eyes.

I squeeze his hand. He looked up at me.

"You know shell she's a psycho that's why her parents never take action against her. So I asked you to be my girlfriend." He said.

I don't know what to say at this moment. I mean she looks normal to me but again everything looked normal before something happened.

" Please shell can you be my girlfriend " Spencer say while taking my both hands. Everyone in the Cafe looked at us.

They start to cheer and my face burn from all the attention.

"Yes" I say quietly to him and his eyes start to shine. He got up and came around the table and take me in a hug.

"I'm so happy....thank you" he said and kissed my cheek.

I stood stunned their. He looked at me and again hugged me tightly. Like why it feels so much real , he just want my help. Then why he looked at me like that.

Unknown person POV:

I looked at then from my car. The way he hugged her. I just want to go there and beat him. How dare he touch her. She's mine.

I know I don't have her but I don't want other's to have her. She's mine from the far.

I always keeps my eyes on her. She's so beautiful and innocent always helps others. I have to do something. I can't risk to get them so close to each other.

I have to keep an eye on him he's a manipulative jerk. Then a idea came in my mind. I smiled at it.

I take my phone and dial a number. I know it will came in help.

It start to ring.

Ring.

Ring.

Then call answered.

"Hey babe" I said and a smile formed on my lips.
