By the time the sun came up, my eyes opened seeing the same unknown figure sitting the chair near the bed I was sleeping in. "Who are you?" I said to him yawning a little bit. as I sat up, he didn't answer my question he only said the same question back to me. I sighed and replied "Ragnarok. You should know that already." The man of unknown origins grumbled, "I know, I needed to make sure in case you were a different person entirely." he replied. Not exactly the kind of answer I was waiting to hear, but at least it was answered, the question that is. "Why are you even here anyway?" I asked pointing out the fact that it's creepy to watch someone sleep. In fact, someone that he doesn't know.
"I wanted to make sure that someone that could have died in house fire that was caused on purpose was alright" he snarled. "Geez there wasn't a need to be an absolute asshole about it" I replied, thinking that I didn't actually say it out loud.
"look I didn't mean to sound like an ass." the guy replied and stopped for a few seconds. Before continuing on to what he was going to actually say. "I thought you might want to have a companion with you, on your travels that is." he managed to say.
"Sure, just don't die from old age or lack of oxygen or whatever," I replied. I looked over over my shoulder packed as much as I could carry in the small bag that was near me. I walked out of the inn after at least ten to fifteen minutes. The man, of unknown origins, followed and yelled out "Wait". He walked up to me and he says "I believe I haven't introduced myself. My name is Ragnar." I looked at him and replied, "Nice to meet you, Ragnar".
Time to return home, not my home, the home of the people that raised me into the person I am today. I owe them that much at least. I paid the carriage driver and then climbed onto the back. It took at least hours, days and up to a month or so. Just to get to Skyrim. The carriage driver stopped at the border and Ragnar decided he wasn't going to come with me the whole way. We parted ways on the way here.
"I can't take you any further than this," he said to me.
"Understood, thank you for getting me this far" I replied hopping out of the carriage. I then set off to cross the border into Skyrim. I sighed wondering if whether I might get caught or not. But I kept walking anyways, I kept walking to cross the border into Skyrim.
I sighed stopping at random place in the forest, just to take a break for a few minutes and rest up my feet and then I'll set off again. Seconds later soldiers of the imperial army walked towards me. "You are violating laws ma'am," one of them said to me. I frowned quite confused by this. "What laws?" I inquired.
He rolled his eyes and knocked me out, well he didn't someone else did. Apparently asking questions was a fuss that they can't be bothered with. The same person that knocked me out, lived a few meters away and with a few mutters. The unknown man was paid a handsome, generous sum of money. A few mutters from the two of them and I was carried off to a place where I would be for quite a while. I sighed waking up in small room straw here and there on the ground. Covered in skins of dead animals, recently dead ones by the smell of it. As there is just about blood still soaking into the hay piles. The one I'm on, right now, smells pretty rancid.
These rags don't really hold off the cold, on the other hand, it's better than nothing at all. The others they picked up along the way, they are way better off than I am and there's this other man. He's in no shape to be a part of whatever the rebellion this is. But then again neither he or I am with them. But I doubt they even care about that. The sooner they get this over and done with. The sooner I won't have to put up their bullshit. I never liked the Imperials either and now they're just showing off like they can ruin people's lives by tearing up what we can and can't believe in.
Just thinking about it makes my blood boil. But I can't let it go to my head, I can't lose my cool and I really need to stop being a hot head. I quickly shut my eyes tightly after hearing one of them get in. With a few jabs on my ribs, I grunted in pain as they weren't light kicks either. They were like harsh jabs into them, on the verge of cracking and shattering. Not that it would matter in a few hours because I am more than likely going to be executed for some unknown reason. Their reason is just crossing the border. But I have a feeling it's just show off their power they think they have over the people of Skyrim.
