For over a week, I hadn't set my eyes on Vander. He'd been avoiding me; that's all I could tell.
I had tried to reach out to the new beta he had taken, but he explained that Vander was alright and not even too busy like I had assumed. He had dismissed Uston and even changed my cell phone and contact details, yet he was still staying away from me.
There was no means for Uston to reach me, not after he also made a declaration that he is not allowed into the palace for any reason.
Uston himself was the most impulsive man I had ever met. Who would stupidly want to drag his ex with his master? Does he think I'm that cheap and senseless like he was? Even if I were dying in the palace, I wouldn't even give him a second chance; now he was making things difficult for me.
