Kiya’s POV
---After 5 years---
“Ma’am, are you sure you do not want me to go with you?” ask Jake.
I only smile at him and shake my head. “No, I’m fine.” I open the car door and step out. My eyes travel in the whole view of the building in front of me. This is the first time I step foot in here and I do not think there will be a second time.
I grace my way towards the entrance. The guard immediately barred me to check my belongings. The security is pretty tight here. It is understandable given the fact that this is a place where offenders of the law are being held. After security checks to me and my bag, the guard motioned me to go to the staff.
“Thanks,” I mutter softly to him and go in the direction where he pointed me. “Hi, good morning…” I greeted the officer in charge.
