My body remained immobile as I took a shaky breath. His facial features glowed fiercely in a warning like a wild beast. My mind couldn't grasp the intensity of the anger that shone in his blue eyes. His stature was nothing compared to the fury his face showed. "Finley," I gasped his name the moment his hand locked my jaw, sending gripping pain to my skin as he clenched his hand. The fear weakened me like a dull trunk of a tree waiting its time to fall to the ground. "You remember my name, my love."
