She was not sure how long she had been dozing. But she woke to the deep, slightly raspy voice which would give her nightmares for as long as she lived. "Welcome back, my dear wife!" She opened her eyes to look into icy blue eyes. She had absolutely nothing to say to that, so she simply moved to remove her seat belt. John beat her to it and extended his hand to help her out. She took it and was shocked to find that his grip was gentle. She looked up at him and he actually smiled. It was not the evil, I can't wait to make you pay for this, kind of smile. He nodded to Bruce and led Sophie inside the sorry looking single story building. Bruce and his men turned around and seemed to head toward the adjacent house. Once inside, Sophie noticed that the place was in worse condition than outside. T
