Alison's POV
"Happy birthday Ralph, we have to celebrate today! Please don't say no." I heard Melody say on the phone as I made my way to her office, Roberta was behind me and must have overheard Melody too.
"... It's been a week since you locked yourself in your house the whole day, don't let this day be one of those days." I heard her plead as we knocked and entered the office.
She signalled us to wait as she went on talking,
"I want to celebrate it with you." she said. "Yes... give you a nice treat. You will love it... Okay, I love you, see you this afternoon. Bye."
Staring at the smile on her face was heartwrenching. I was so jealous and angry at the same time.
"Hello ladies, you would have to do overtime for me today and don't worry, I will pay you."
