I knew that I had to speak with Adrian before setting out on my journey to Seredentia. I didn't want to leave without letting him know, but I also dreaded the discussion that was about to unfold. I found him in his study, Regan excusing himself. Adrian's concern was evident as I began to explain my plans.
"Adrian," I started, "I've received news about my father's health, and I need to go back to Seredentia. It's important for me to be there during this time." Adrian looked at me, his expression a mixture of concern and skepticism.
