The rain was falling,it was a frosty day in New York.Olivia wakes up,her legs were cold she immediately stood up and spreads her curtain.The refreshing and pleasant smell of the rain was everything to her.A beautiful girl with an appealing facial symmetry and a strong jawline like that of a model with a long shiny brunette hair.She drank a glass of water and got ready for the day.

**phone rings**(Nadia her best friend)

Olivia:Hello Nadia,what’s up

Nadia:(Screams)

Olivia:(snithe her phone) crazy girl

Olivia and Nadia have been best friends since childhood.They attended thesame high school and events together though they brawled sometimes.Olivia went for a shower immediately after she did cut the phone on her best friend.She likewise brushed her teeth and got ready for her skin care.

**ding ding**(A message pops in )

While Olivia was about applying a face serum to her skin,she knows she had to see the message that did pop in.She grabs her phone on the nightstand and checked the message.

Olivia:(screams)

Just then,her face serum fell off her hands,did break instantly and splashed on the floor.It made a loud scary noise and her yell felt like something quite awful had happen.Her mum was in her room shocked as the screech was deafening.She ran immediately to Olivia’s room.

Marie:(Burst out)Anything wrong honey?

Olivia:(yelping)You came in time mum

Luckily for Olivia,she was accepted into the university she had badly wanted to be in (The University Of Seattle).It has always been she and her bestfriend’s choice of school.It was one of the prominents school in the country.She came closer to her mum and showed her the email the school had sent to her.

Marie couldn’t believe what her eyes had seen,she immediately went on cloud nine,grabs the phone from Olivia and went to show her husband.

Marie:Honey…

Gabriel:What’s the excitement all about ?

Marie:(Pecks him)Olivia just got admitted to the university of seattle

Gabriel:(Smiles and then hugs marie)

Marie:(cries)

Olivia couldn’t wait to tell her best friend the good news.For a moment,she understood why nadia was screaming when she called her.It was a good day for her,she immediately grabs her car keys from the nightstand and went to the car park then drove immediately off to nadia’a house ignoring the drizzling rain.She writhe the radio and sang along with joy.

Nadia’s house is a stone’s throw away from that of olivia but she had to use her car owing to the rain.She applied break once she was almost at nadia’s apartment and parked the car as soon as she reached the apartment,closed her door and headed to the nadia’s gate.

Olivia:(Rings the bell)

Housekeeper:Who’s there?wait a minute

Olivia was all wet outside waiting for the housekeeper to come open the gate.She didn’t care about her body being wet,all she needed was a profound hug from nadia.After a little while,the house keeper opened the door and was surprised to see olivia.She knew Olivia hardly pays a visit at forenoon.She saw a smile on Olivia’s face and smiled along.

Olivia:Hello mami

Housekeeper:You look vibrant but your body comon don’t stay outside any longer

Olivia:(Enters the building)

Housekeeper:Is there a celebration that explains why you are in a robe?olivia you could catch a could from this.

Olivia:(smiles)It’s an elated day(walking)is Nadia in her room ?

Housekeeper:Yes or probably her moms room.She woke me up before my alarm did today.

The house keeper serving for Nadia’s parent is so loquacious.She welcomed Olivia in and went to the kitchen to make her some tea.

Housekeeper:Take(she handed over the glass cup to olivia)it’s a ginger tea,it will do you some good.It can help fight a cold.

Olivia:Anyway,I’m not catching a cold.Thanks a lot!

After a few minute,nadia came from behind and jumped on her.The tea fell off her hands,splashed on the floor and the glass cup broke into pieces.They both had a mini injury but just didn’t care but embraced themself.The housekeeper came in saw the broken glass,frowned knowing she was going to pick it.Nadia and olivia went upstairs straight to nadia’s room.

Nadia:OMG(Hugs olivia)I’m on cloud nine,I’m over the moon,I’m overjoyed(Hugs her tightly)Our dream school!!!

Olivia:Yeah,I know I know your dream just because of the fresh looking 6’5 guys and MY dream school because I’m there to learn(smiles)

Nadia:(Stops hugging her)We are going there due to both reasons you know?

Olivia:Is mum around ?

Nadia:So now,you’re switching the conversation right?welp,she’s in the kitchen baking my favorite

Olivia:Ohh yum!(laughs) I ran out of the house(rest her head on nadia’s laps).I’m just super excited .C’mon(Stands up) let me go greet your mum.

Nadia didn’t give olivia the chance to greet her mum.She held her hands when they were approaching the kitchen,changed the way as they ran out to a favorite beach spot not so far from home without an umbrella or a car.

**Sarah approaching nadia’s room**

Sarah:Darling,here’s the cake(opens the door)Where is she?(self talk)

Sarah left the room since she couldn’t find Nadia and headed downstairs to ask the housekeeper on her whereabout.

Sarah:Have you seen my darling?(removing some ice from the cake and adjusting the candies)

Housekeeper:Yes ma’am she went out with olivia

Sarah:(looks at her)Did olivia drop in ?

Housekeeper:Yes,early this morning

Sarah:That’s surprising.They must be so excited to leave for school.Please take this cake(Hands the cake to the housekeeper)serve it in the evening and prepare nadia’s best food.

**Olivia and Nadia conversing**

Olivia:(Looking at the little injury)I've accidentally dropped a glass twice today,i know I’m really happy and I hope it carries a good meaning.

Nadia:For real,what again fell off your hands ?

Olivia:(looks at nadia)My face serum this morning

Nadia:(smiles)Prolly you were just too excited for school

Olivia:yea,sure!I don’t know what it is about this school that makes us so happy

Nadia:It’s meant for us,we both got it…a really popular school

Olivia:It’s rare to get into that school,the guys there are so unique I don’t even know how they pick them

Nadia:It means we are likewise unique.Guess they do go through peoples bio data to get them into the school,they they pick the ones with finesse

Olivia:Nah nah,the ones with pink soft juicy lips(smiles)

Nadia:(laughs)uhmmm then you’ll say I’m going there for the guys and toys there to learn ?

Olivia:(giggles)

Nadia:I’m starving,let’s go home;we gotta eat and talk not starve(laughs)

Olivia:Yea,true

Olivia held nadia’s hand as the did schlep her as they had a walk back home to nadia’s house.

Olivia:I should go in and greet your parents

Nadia:Yes,sure

**Door bell rings**

Housekeeper:(Opens the door)Welcome,dinner is almost ready(smiles)i can see you’re starving

Nadia:(smiles)She knows my weakpoint.Don’t go close to me when I’m hungry,you’ll definitely win

Olivia:Girl everyone knows that (laughs)

**Sarah cuts in**

Sarah:Darlings how have you been ?

Nadia:Our favorite spot

Olivia:Greetings ma’am

Sarah:Evening love.I see the evening is really a good one.You know olivia,today is the first time you’ll drop in so early,in a casual outfit and not come see me

Nadia:(Laughs)welp i was so excited that all i wanted was olivia to see me alone

Olivia:(Nods her head)

Sarah:Ohh wow nadia that’s so greedy of you.You two are leaving soon and the little time you have now you basically still want your bestfriend for you alone.

Olivia:(laughs)This is awful nadia change!!!

Sarah:You don’t even want her to set my eyes on me

Nadia:(chortling)mum what are you saying?Since when have you had your eyes on olivia?or if she greets you or not?

Olivia(smiles)

Nadia:Mum your speech was giving gay.(smiles)you are married you know

Sarah:(Laughs)what are you saying? I just care c’mon when you get used to something,you want that thing to repeatedly happen.Olivia do you get me ?

Olivia:Ma’am you shouldn’t answer nadia she’s always drunk you know ?

Sarah:wait,you guys drank ?

Olivia:Nope but she does not need to drink for her to be drunk(laughs)

Nadia:(laughs)

Sarah:So that’s just it.I do care about you both and I’m super excited for you both(Hugs olivia and Sarah )

House keeper:(walks in) Dinner is ready

Sarah:(Removes her arms)Time to go eat

They all walked to the dining

Sarah:Honeys eat till you’re satisfied.Olivia any preparation yet ?

Olivia:I don’t really know.I left home quite early this morning

Sarah:ohh…i see

The maid was serving the food.Everywhere was cool,the clouds were dark.Sarah’s husband dropped in.

**Door bell **

Nadia:That must be dad

She stood up and headed for the door

**Opens the door**

Nadia:Welcome dad(pecks him)

Hilary:(Handed a surprise wrist watch to her)It’s a surprise for you(pecks her head)I’m so proud of you

Nadia:Thanks dad(Hugs him)

They walked to the dining and nadia was delighted to see her best food on the table

Nadia:(smiling)mama you’re the best

Sarah:What made you say that honey

Nadia:(Burst out)My best food

Olivia:(laughs)only known for food.(greets hilary)Hi sir,welcome

Hilary:Everyone is glowing in here.Whats up olivia

Olivia:(smiles)I’m good thank you!

Sarah:(smiles)Yea,i see the glow i see the glow(looking at nadia and olivia)

Hilary:(laughing)Dear you too!you’re glowing c’mon

Sarah:(smiles and collects his briefcase)How was your day?

Hilary:(pecks her on the cheek)was a long day but I’m delighted.

Nadia loves to eat a pumpernickel avocado toast with plenty of chicken salad in it served with a strawberry banana smoothie but her mum doesn’t like it neither her dad.Olivia observes all that is being spoken in the dining.They were discussing about a family thing and she wasn’t okay hearing it.

Hilary:Nadia come give me some hugs,pecks and kisses

Nadia:(smiles and stands up)

Olivia:(clears her throat)It’s getting late I think i should get going

Sarah:Baby you’re not done eating your meal

Olivia:Yea but I’m full(smiles)would have stayed a bit longer but i worry about my parents.Im not with my phone would have called them

Nadia:Bet your mum will see your phone in your room and still be calling you(pecks her dad)

Olivia:(laughs)

Sarah:(calls for the housekeeper)Joan bring in the cake please(Hollers)Please wait for some cake,i know you aren’t satisfied

Olivia:I am actually.Nadia’s taste is just so different but i enjoyed the meal

Nadia:How olivia?this food is everything anyone could ever ask for

Olivia:You’re the opposite of me you know ?

Nadia:Just thesame we can never fall apart,that’s how I can’t fall apart with this food

Olivia(laughs)

Sarah:(laughs)

Hilary:(Smiles)

**Joan brings in the cake**

Sarah cuts the cake and nadia blows the candle.They all clapped and olivia was so happy.She ate till she was satisfied because it was a red velvet cake,one of her favorites and she drank a glass of red wine.

Olivia:I’m really filled up right now.Im so grateful(stands up)

Nadia:Okay my love.A month from now no one of us would have to stand up from a dining because we will be together(smiles)

Olivia:(smiles and hugs her)

Nadia:Take care of yourself,I love you!!!

Olivia:I love you too!!! Glass skin is the goal,level up in your skincare routine

Nadia:Laughs

It was a beautiful evening for Olivia.They all told her good bye as Sarah gave her an ernormous cake for her parents.Olivia took a walk outside and drove to her house.Olivia’s parent have been confused since morning but they know she was in a good hand in her bestfriend’s house and they did nothing than wait patiently for her to return.

**Olivia drives in**

Olivia:(knocks on the door)

Housekeeper:(opens the door)ohh olivia,welcome.

Your parents have been wandering(Hugs her)you caught a cold,come on in

Olivia:(smiles)A cold doesn’t matter I’m alright.I’ve missed my dad(enters the living room)

**Marie cuts in**

Marie:You know how much I hate being kept waiting olivia?where have you been since morning?have you eaten at all?(comes close to her)you smell of cake

Olivia:(Hugs her mum)I’m okay mama,how have you been? really missed you (kisses her)

Marie:was there a celebration today ?

Olivia:yea(gives her mum the packaged cake)I smell of this (laughs)

Marie:I’m so mad at you but you seem so happy(collects the packaged cake)

Olivia:All that matters right now is my happiness

Marie:You need to take a shower

Olivia:I definitely will.Where is papa?

Marie:In his room.Been waiting for you.Please baby when next you go out,make sure your phone is next to you

Olivia:I totally forgot this morning

Marie:So sweet of nadia’s mum to give you this.I need to send her a message

Olivia:(smiles)Be careful of what you write in the message because that woman is gay

Marie:wait what ?

Olivia:I’m just beating around the bush(laughs)

Marie:I’m highly ecstatic and super proud of you

Olivia:(Hugs her mum again)You might say I smell like s**t but I love you so much

Marie:(Puts her arms in Olivia’s shoulders)Like cake like cake,didn’t say s**t(smiles)

Olivia:(Hugs her tight)Love you mama

Marie:(removes her arms)But wait,is nadia’s mum really gay ?

Olivia:Nope,she’s just really caring

Olivia:yea,every time,she treats me like I belong to the family.Mum,always treat nadia well so

Marie:I do treat her well what do you mean?

Olivia:Treat her exactly how you treat me that’s what I do get over there

Marie:wait I’m I mean to naida?I love that girl so much

Olivia:No mama that’s not what I’m saying.Just make her special just themsame way you make me special

Marie:Ohh I think I get you now.I should treat nadia the exact gayish way her mum does treat you right ?

Olivia:(laughs)mum she’s just caring,be caring too!

Olivia:Okay I’m done with you.I’m going upstairs already.Need to see dad before he hits the sack

Marie:(follows her and holds her cheeks)When will you always put me first you daddy’s girl

Olivia:God first mama(stops walking and holds her mum cheeks then ran away)
