28 Masanori Ki shocked Masanori’s fingers when he connected two sapphire pins with a wire. He shook the energy from his hand and sucked his burnt fingers while he examined his work. The gold was fused together, but the alteration failed to achieve the desired effect: an advanced version of his tapper that interacted with his latent ki and katana. His mother’s sword vibrated with energy Masanori couldn’t access because he wasn’t a majyu, but, in theory, it was possible with a few modifications and some simple spells. Despite the hours spent on the project, he found no success. All of Masanori’s new iterations either sparked and broke after a single use or didn’t work at all. So much for fusing ki-engineering and bushido. Golden light spread across the sky beneath the fading rain clouds
