76 Hidekazu Giant hornets buzzed around Hidekazu’s face. Stingers jabbed his cheeks and left burning trails along his jaw. He batted the insects away, but his hands found no solid form. He had no body or hands at all, and there were no hornets, although his face seared as though he was covered with blisters and his flesh was melting. He screamed for the agony to stop, but he had no lungs or mouth to make a sound, and yet still beating wings cut down his throat. A vortex of energy engulfed him, erasing the feeling of breathing bugs. Hidekazu spat and hacked up anyway, so consumed by the sensation that his mind hadn’t caught up to its disappearance yet.
