32 Masanori The metal-shaping machines in Tsukiko Academy’s workshop were cold and silent. A wonderland of limitless opportunity for any ki-engineer, yet as Masanori strode through the workshop, most of the equipment appeared new, with only hints of wear. It was unnerving to come to this pristine place, intent on brute-forcing a brand-new version of his tapper enough to draw on the latent ki both within himself and his weapon. Masanori gathered a tray of supplies, including a couple of minor aki, from the neatly labelled bins and sat at one of the long, spotless crafting tables.
