Hidekazu
Hidekazu leaned over the ship’s rail, breathing in the ocean mist. The Kin Sea stretched across the horizon, the gold waves tipped with white as they rocked the junk’s hull. For the first few days he, Masanori, and Aihi kept low profiles and confined themselves to their shared room. Now that the Dragon’s Blossom neared the edge of the Konarerian Mountains, they freed themselves to explore the ship.
Sharp rocks jutted from the water to the south, and the sun climbed the mountains, flushing the lilac sky with rose splotches. They approached the sea border between Seiryuu and Tajida, about one-third of the distance ahead of them to Laman.
With the short notice Aihi gave them before leaving, Hidekazu hadn’t the opportunity to pack as many study materials as he would have liked
