Hidekazu
A stained-glass image of the Tsukiko Academy emblem, a shishajya entwined around an hourglass, decorated the structure behind Barame. He knelt on a cushion, wearing his usual pristine white robes, his long, unbound ivory hair floating in rivulets around him.
Hidekazu tried not to compare Barame to Naoji, but they favoured the colours of winter. Both proved to be nothing like Hidekazu expected.
This first lesson came, nearly two months into the semester, because Hidekazu had failed Barame by not memorizing Osoreru: Warlock Mythologies over the summer as instructed. Now, Hidekazu came armed with each story ingrained in his memory, in both Seiryan and Ryuugo.
He would impress Barame. They would become a proper student and teacher, not a dog and master.
