Amelia stood there, still bewildered, her eyes slowly fading back to their usual green. Myra blinked, regaining control. She turned, ready to leave, but Amelia’s voice echoed in her head. "Don’t go. It’s not safe out there. Apparently, our dear father has turned us into a wanted criminal. No pack will take us in. It’s too risky." Myra paused, her brows furrowing slightly. She tried to understand why she couldn’t hear anything whenever Amelia took over, but the thought slipped away just as quickly. With a quiet sigh, she gave in. Her gaze drifted around the grand mansion. It was too quiet. No maids, no servants, no movement. The silence made the place feel even more unfamiliar. She didn’t want to go back upstairs and face that strange man again. After a moment of hesitation, she turned and walked outside. From the balcony earlier, she had seen people training, and right now, that felt like the only place with life. She stepped onto the training grounds, still in her torn clothes and barefoot. Her curly hair fell loosely over her shoulders. The soldiers who were talking stopped immediately they saw her, their eyes followed her, caught off guard by her sudden presence. The man leading the training cursed under his breath. Myra ignored the stares and walked closer. “Excuse me… where can I find the women?” She had been subconsciously searching for any female presence, but this place seemed filled with nothing but men. Surely this wasn’t a place meant for men alone… right? “Get away from here.” The trainer’s voice was sharp, his eyes filled with clear hostility. Myra blinked, confused. She had done nothing wrong, yet his reaction was intense. “If there’s a no-women policy, I can leave,” she said calmly. “Just tell me where I can find them.” Dante’s jaw tightened. He was already in a bad mood, and seeing her here only made it worse. Everything about this situation irritated him—Matteo’s behavior, Melissa, and now her. His fists clenched at his sides. Without taking his eyes off Myra, he spoke through the mind link, his tone cold. "Come get your mate." Some of the soldiers had already gathered around Myra, asking about her identity. She looked harmless, almost pitiful, and that alone drew their attention. Before anything could go further, Matteo appeared. His eyes immediately landed on the group of Lycans surrounding his mate. Dante leaned lazily to the side, a smirk playing on his lips as he watched Matteo’s expression darken. The soldiers went stiff the moment they noticed him. Myra turned toward Matteo. It seemed this… model-looking man was in charge here. She cleared her throat lightly. “I’d like to take you up on your offer… if it’s still open.” She fidgeted with her fingers, unsure. After everything that had happened earlier, she wasn’t certain he would still accept her decision. Matteo slipped his hands into his pockets and walked toward her. The soldiers quickly stepped back, intimidated by his presence. The soldiers cursed in their heart, it seems this lady was not ordinary. “For how long do you plan on staying?” he asked calmly. Myra thought about it for a moment.“A month… or two.” By then, her pack would have assumed she was dead. Even if they searched, they wouldn’t look forever. Matteo gave a small nod. “That won’t be a problem. You’ll be treated as a guest. A maid will be assigned to you. You can head back inside, rest, or have breakfast. Someone will bring you clothes and show you around.” His expression softened slightly as he reached out and gently ruffled her hair. The soldiers nearby were stunned. Seeing their king like this felt almost unreal. “Okay…” Myra replied quietly, still a bit dazed. She turned and walked away, her mind lingering on that soft smile, the strange warmth it left behind making her feel uneasy. But the moment she was out of sight, Matteo’s expression changed completely. He turned back to the soldiers, his face cold as if the gentle face they saw before was an illusion. “I thought you were supposed to be training.” The soldiers stiffened. “My king, she was just asking for directions—” “So you decided to show her direction with your c***s? You saw a beauty and your c***s started twitching.” Matteo cut in sharply. His aura flared, forcing some of them to stumble back. They looked toward Dante for help, but he remained unresponsive giving them a sorry glance. “We’re sorry, my king. We didn’t know she was your woman,” one of them said quickly. Matteo paused for a second. That word eased something in him, but his voice remained firm. “She is your queen. And if I ever catch you looking at her like that again… it will be the last thing you'd ever see.” With that, he turned and walked away. In the dining hall, Myra sat quietly, clutching her torn dress. The kitchen had begun making lunch. As werewolves, they were used to walking nude but she wasn't comfortable in this strange environment. The table was soon filled with food, different dishes laid out neatly, their rich aroma filling the room. Myra didn’t hesitate. She reached for a piece of chicken and started eating. Her posture wasn’t elegant at all, but she didn’t care. She was hungry. As she ate, a woman walked in. She wore a pink floral dress, her hair tied neatly in a sleek ponytail, and she wore a pair of silver heels. Myra immediately recognized them, they looked like something she had seen in a magazine before, this particular pair was limited edition. Myra kept eating, pretending not to care, even stuffing more food into her mouth. The woman, Victoria, looked at her with clear disdain. She had heard rumors about the girl who had kept Matteo occupied for days. “Who are you,” she asked coldly, “and what are you doing here?”
