Matteo looked at Myra, his heart aching at her reaction. Just how much had she suffered in the Crimson Moon Pack? Myra suddenly stood up and stumbled backward like she had completely lost her senses. Panic filled her eyes as she tried to run again despite the blood still pouring from her injured leg. Only then did Matteo realize something else. She was naked. “Look away, all of you,” he ordered coldly. The soldiers immediately lowered their heads. Matteo rushed toward her using his supernatural speed stabbing her with a sedative. Earlier, before arriving, he had collected it from Melissa just in case Myra needed it. He quickly wrapped it around her trembling body before pulling her into his arms. Myra struggled weakly against him at first, her body shaking badly. “Don’t…” she whispered fearfully. “Don’t put me back in that cell… it’s dark… dirty…” Her voice slowly faded as exhaustion finally took over. A sweet and intoxicating scent surrounded her, strangely calming her restless heart. Without realizing it, she leaned closer into his warmth. Who was this? Could it be Aiden? No. Aiden hated her. He would never hold her like this. Myra tried forcing her eyes open, but her eyelids felt too heavy. Matteo tightened his hold on the fragile figure curled up against his chest before turning toward the soldiers. “Any word of this reaching another person will be considered betrayal against me directly,” he warned coldly. The soldiers lowered their heads even further in fear. Without wasting another second, Matteo rushed toward the infirmary. Melissa had already been waiting anxiously. Although she did not particularly care much about Myra herself, she was deeply worried about Matteo. She knew her brother’s personality too well. If anything serious happened to Myra, all hell would break loose. Matteo arrived quickly and gently placed Myra onto the bed before looking at Melissa. “Treat her properly.” Melissa sighed softly. The wound on Myra’s leg was still bleeding because of the wolfsbane bullet and refused to heal naturally. She wanted to tell Matteo to leave so she could focus properly, but seeing how tightly he still held Lyra’s hand, she immediately gave up on that idea. Quietly, she began treating the wound. After several minutes, Melissa successfully removed the bullet and carefully bandaged Myra’s leg. “She just needs rest now,” Melissa explained tiredly. “The wolfsbane weakened her body badly.” Matteo barely responded. His eyes remained fixed on Myra’s sleeping face. For the first time since all the chaos started, she finally looked peaceful and ethereal. Almost like a fallen angel. His fingers slowly brushed against her cheek. Melissa stopped talking after noticing Matteo was no longer paying attention to her. After a while, she awkwardly cleared her throat. “Brother… she needs sleep. You should probably return to work too.” Matteo finally stood up slowly, though his eyes never left Myra. “I’ll return soon. Take care of her.” Melissa nodded silently. Just then, Carl arrived at the infirmary. Matteo’s expression immediately turned serious again. “Arrange guards around this place,” he ordered coldly. “No one enters without permission. Her Majesty needs complete rest.” Carl nodded quickly, but he was shocked inwardly, he never understood Matteo's attraction towards Myra, some things were personal and he couldn't ask. After hearing her identity, he silently prayed for the idiots responsible for uploading that video online. “Investigate everything, especially Myra’s troublesome sister.” Matteo continued coldly. “I want to know what truly happened in the past.” “As for the news online, bury it beneath another scandal. Distract the public.” Carl nodded immediately and left to carry out the orders. As Matteo turned to leave, he suddenly paused and looked back at Melissa one final time. “Take care of her properly,” he warned calmly..“Any additional injury on her body… will be repaid tenfold on your precious mate.” Melissa forced a stiff smile despite the irritation bubbling inside her. “Yes, brother.” The moment Matteo finally left the room, Melissa silently made a killing gesture behind his back. The next few hours were unusually quiet. Then suddenly, an eye-catching headline exploded across the internet. “Alpha’s Daughter Exposed!” “The Beta Couldn’t Satisfy Her Needs!” “Lyka The Cheat!” The news spread like wildfire. Previously, Lyka did not have much influence online and very few people even knew who she was. But after uploading the video about Myra, her popularity skyrocketed overnight. She gained thousands of followers within hours and became an internet celebrity almost instantly. Now, the same internet that praised her had completely turned against her. Lyka had just woken up and was about to freshen up when she saw the notifications flooding her phone. Her expression immediately darkened. With trembling fingers, she clicked on the post. Several videos and pictures instantly appeared on the screen. The past she had tried so desperately to bury. Pictures of her wearing revealing outfits while sitting closely with different men. Videos of her kissing random men at parties. And the worst one of all— She was surrounded by three men in a compromising position, her expression clearly showing enjoyment. Her breathing became uneven instantly. “No…” Smash! Lyka screamed and threw her phone across the room. It slammed directly into the full-length mirror, shattering it into pieces. Her chest rose and fell violently. How would Aiden react to this? The gentle, elegant, innocent image she had spent years building was completely ruined. This had to be Myra’s doing. No… Not Myra. The person backing her. The same person powerful enough to erase news from the internet within hours. He was taking revenge on her. Lyka clenched her fists tightly as anger and panic consumed her completely. f**k! Just when she thought she had finally trapped Aiden completely, another man appeared. A man far more powerful than Aiden himself. Knock knock. A knock from outside interrupted her thoughts. “My Lady, the Alpha requests your presence for breakfast.” Lyka’s face instantly stiffened. “I’m not feeling well,” she replied quickly. “I’ll eat later.” Right now, she did not want to face anyone. They would all look at her differently now. With disgust and those hateful eyes. The same hateful eyes people once used to look at her with when she first entered the mansion. She would rather lock herself inside her room forever than face those looks again. Lyka looked down at the shattered mirror pieces scattered across the floor, a strange smile slowly creeping onto her lips. Knock knock. “My Lady,” the maid called again nervously. “The Alpha insists.” There was still no reply. “My Lady?” The maid knocked several more times before hesitantly opening the door. The moment she stepped inside, her scream echoed throughout the mansion.
