Striking a conversation

After Jason was done with the music set up, he went back to the couple. They were eagerly waiting for their food. They were glad it had been timely. After he had given them their food and they were comfortable, he went back to the drunk guest to enquire if he was pleased with that genre of music. "That's actually awesome, I'm enjoying it. You have good taste for music." he told him. Jason was appreciative for the kind remarks and struck a conversation with his guest. "By the way, I see you have 2 glasses, is your companion running late?" Jason politely asked. " You have no idea what kind of pieces of s**t women are. I even paid for her uber but she still ignored. She should have told me she wouldn't be coming before I paid for her ride. I've had a rough day since I've been from a burial, my name is Alex by the way." he said as he introduced himself. Jason introduced himself as well, "My name is Jason, I work here and I'm sorry for your loss. Maybe your lady was taking it hard for the loss and she opted to stay at home. Most probably she has a valid reason for her behavior and maybe she'll explain it to you later. I also see you haven't even opened your bottle, can I pour you a drink?" "I was actually waiting for you to ask me that, yes, do pour me a drink and also pour yourself one as well. Let's just forget about her for now and enjoy the night." Alex said. Jason poured him a drink and opted not to pour himself one since he was still on duty and explained and Alex understood. "If I may enquire, do you guys have rooms for guests and uf so, how much do you charge?" Alex enquired. Jason replied in a detailed way, "Yes, we do have them. Bed only will cost you 4,000 and for bed and breakfast, it will cost you 5,000."Alex said he would prefer the bed only since whatever he was drinking at that particular moment would not go well with eggs and milk in the morning. He even asked Jason to book him a room since his full names would be on the receipt of the mobile money transaction.

He even told Jason that he had a headache and Jason offered to give him some painkillers. First he booked him the room, then he remembered that he had some painkillers in his locker in the staff quarters. When he was about to open his locker, he just had a weird thought not to offer him anything he had. He went to the first aid box and took a pair of painkillers from there, took a glass of water and passed by to check on the couple who were still having their meal. The bartender told him that his guest had left his jacket on the table and it would be better if he took it to him. Jason picked his jacket and proceeded towards the guest. He handed him the jacket of which he smiled as he took the painkillers. The minute Jason picked that jacket, something weird happened to him. As he handed Alex his room keys, Alex asked him once again to take a drink with him. This time around, Jason did not resist. He poured himself a half glass of vodka and gobbled it in an instance.
