Chapter 6

Laurie's P.O.V Aston hasn't left my side all night. Now he's helping me get out of this place and taking me back to his home. I'm not sure why he's being so nice to me, but I can't deny enjoying it. Waking up and seeing his beautiful face this morning was like something out of a fantasy. Aston starts to push me out towards the car he's had come pick us up. As we get out of the hospital doors, I see Bianca racing towards us. She looks so excited. I can't imagine why. Next thing I know, Bianca has shoved Aston off of my wheelchair and has taken control. Aston chuckles at his sisters obvious excitement and takes my small case to the rear of the car. I can't help but watch as Aston walks away from me. Even fully clothed, he looked like some kind of god. He was the most beautiful man I think I have ever seen. Bianca starts giggling behind me, catching me eyeing her brother. " I don't mind if you wanna become my sister," Bianca whispers to me. I look up at her, and she gives me a little wink. I can feel the heat of the blush running up my cheeks from my embarrassment. Luckily, Aston saves me when he clears his throat to get both of our attention, then softly questions, "Do you think we could leave the girly bounding until we get home, please?" There I go again with my cheeks heating up wishing the World would just open up and swallow me. Bianca pushes me towards the rear car door, and Aston insists on lifting me into the car. I smile shyly at him, being this close to him is sending my mind in spirals. I stare into his eyes, getting lost in them, and he stares right back at me. I feel myself slowly leaning towards him, ready to taste his mouth and him mine, when Bianca snaps us out of our daze laughing at us. With that, we both get embarrassed and quickly pull away. Once I'm strapped in comfortable and safely. Aston gets the driver to take us to his home. The journey was only 30 minutes long, but the silence in the car made it feel so much longer. Aston and I kept ourselves as far away from each other as possible, both gazing out of the windows at the view, whilst Bianca sat playing games on her phone. Anyone could see there was s****l tension between me and Aston, but I had no idea how to approach it. Would Aston even want to do anything about it. I barely know him, and now I'm going to be living with him. Maybe this is just my mind playing tricks on me. I'm no virgin, but that wasn't by choice. Every time Duke came home drunk with some of his friends, I'd try to hide and lock the door to my closet, but he would constantly break it, causing me to get into even more trouble. Duke would force his way into the room, dragging a couple of his drunk buddies with him. He would get them to pin my arms above my head, and legs spread open for him whilst he took what he wanted from my body. The first couple of months, I had tried to fight them off, but it only ended with me being hurt even more. Eventually, I gave up and just accepted my fate. At least he wore a condom I suppose, I think to myself, trying to find a silver lining. With these memories running through my head, I didn't realise I'd started to shake with fear, just like I would every time they came to my room. I look around and see both Aston and Bianca staring at me. "Are you okay, Laurie?" Bianca asks gently. "Of course, sorry, just some bad memories creeping into my mind. I will be fine, promise." I reassure her. Aston looks at my forced smile like he knows that I'm far from fine, but he doesn't say anything. I just know what's gunna to happen when I'm next alone with him. His eyes are already telling me he wants to know the whole truth of what I've been through all these years. I push them thoughts to the back of my mind just as we pull up to a driveway garden by gorgeous black steel gates. The design of the gates looks so intracut and unique. I can't help but stare. Aston presses something of the screen of his phone, and the gates slowly open, allowing us entry onto a long gravel driveway. I stare and can't seem to take all of the sights in at once the grounds are covered in greenery, beautiful wildflowers growing all around, in the distance I can see a small lake with a variety of wildlife around it. I gaze around more and find myself completely speechless. I feel like we've driven into a whole new universe. My mouth wide open with surprise makes Bianca and Aston both chuckle at me. I slam my mouth shut when I realise. "I'm glad you enjoy the views, Laurie, as this is now your home as well." Aston announces with a grin. "What, so I'm not just here whilst I heal?" I ask, confused about his statement. "Of course not, I told you in the hospital you won't be going back to that place again. There's a lot you need to know, but we have time. You also need plenty of rest so that leg of your can heal." He lectures me. Suddenly, I feel like I've just been told off by my dad. My embarrassment makes another appearance at that thought whilst I give Aston another shy smile. I can't look at his eyes after thinking what i did. We pull up outside the front doors of a huge mansion. "Wow, this is where you live.... just you two?" I ask looking completely dumbfounded whilst pointing between them both and looking back up at the extraordinary building in front of us. "Well not anymore we don't." Bianca answered cheekily. "Now all three of us live here." She finishes after seeing my confused expression. "Let's get you in and settled" Mr serious starts again acting like the parent. Bianca and I both roll our eyes at him but nod in agreement. Just then he grabs me again and lifts me back into my wheelchair. "You know they gave me crutches as well for a reason don't you?" I question. "I know." he gently responded. Before we made our way into the building.
