Catherine finally backed away from Cameron after nearly squeezing the last breath out of him. He looked down at her, a wide grin spreading on his face.
“Were you actually crying?”. He asked on seeing her moist eyes.
She rolled her eyes causing him to snicker.
“I didn’t you’d show up”. She said as she wiped her eyes with the sleeve of her hoodie.
“Believe it or not Cat, I take my grades seriously”. He said still snickering.
“Oh please! I guess that explains why you missed almost three weeks of classes”. She said.
He raised his hands in surrender.
“Needed to blow off some steam”. He said. “And I spent the weekend studying, that should count for something, no?”. He said.
She rolled her eyes but a smile curved her lips nonetheless.
