Beep…… beep…..
Catherine woke up to a soft beeping sound from one of the monitors in the clinic, her eyes fluttered open and she stared up at the white painted ceilings, her mind was numb but her body wasn’t, no, far from that. Till now she could feel the pain bashing against the walls of her stomach, she could feel the pain in her pelvic region, she could feel the soreness of her n*****s, indeed, her body wasn’t numb.
“Are you awake Miss Haydens?”. Came a soft voice from somewhere, she wasn’t sure where, she wasn’t sure of anything but the fact that she was in pain.
Like, had the professor really brought her here? Had she passed out in his arms? Had it all been a dream…..a nightmare? Was it all in her head?
“Miss Haydens?”.
She blinked twice as her mind became less fuzzy.
