Chapter Two: Reality

Ashley and her siblings were thrown out of their house by their greedy uncle. They didn't have anywhere to go! Their mother's sister was in another country, and she was the only relative they knew of.

The evening wind was cold and freezing. Sister," We're freezing," the twins.... said in unison , looking innocent and staring at their sister's face. Okay, I know a hotel down the street , but can we walk down there? She asked them. Yeah, they replied happily and walked down to the Heap high hotel and suites.

hi miss? How can we be of service to you? The receptionist asked ," Oh... we need a room , a big one, and we'll be staying for over a week," Ashley replied.

Alright miss". The receptionist replied and asked," Maybe I have your card for the payment? Yeah, sure!" Ashley said, bringing out the Harvard group black card from her Birkin bag . Uhhhhhhhh... miss, it seems the card is blocked or damaged, it's not just working," the receptionist said, looking at Ashley's confused face.

what?! how? I used it this morning, and now it's not working again? The receptionist shrugged and looked at the twins with pity. it's freezing, sister, what do we do? Mia asked, looking at Ashley's face.

Calm girls... calm. Ashley said and turned to the receptionist. Is there any place here we can stay for the night? Well..... I am so sorry there isn't actually. Oh my God.

what do I do? Ashley asked herself." Okay, thank you, " she said, and held her siblings' hands tightly. They walked out of the hotel looking sad ... Where are we going now?" Michelle said, asking Mia . Mia replied with a shrug . The trio kept walking down the street until they were outside Radison Hills Street.

The market street was brightly lit and booming with a lot of people, different scents and aromas filled the air, but the aroma of a Chinese restaurant stood out. The aroma made Ashley's stomach growl. She quickly checked her bag for some cash.... "Come have some Chinese noodles." Fill your belly ! Fill your belly!... the owner kept calling

girls? Are you hungry ? Ashley asked yes!! They said happily in unison. Okay! Let's go have some Chinese noodles.. Yayyyyyy!! The twins danced happily and marched towards the restaurant.... Three bowls please! Ashley said with wide tired eyes.

As soon as they were served, the twins gulped down the noodles, staining their hands and cheeks. Easy!! Ashley laughed at their behavior . Soon they were done eating and sat for a while. Ma," Can I charge my phone here? Ashley asked the restaurant owner . yes you can. She replied, smiling.

By the way .... are your siblings twins? They looked very alike. The restaurant owner asked, smiling . Yes, they are." I replied," Where are your parents? She asked . They died in a car accident, and we're thrown out of our house, and now we're on the streets , Ashley said with a sad face, seeking pity from the middle-aged woman.

Oh, that's so sad to hear. Are you done with the meal ? The owner asked." Oh! She didn't fall for it," Ashley said. Inwardly, yeah, we're done . Ashley replied. The owner continued," ..... such a pity.... , I pray Budda sees you through in all your endeavors," she said and left .

Ashley stood up and carried sleeping Mia on her back. She held Michelle on the other hand and dragged her box alon Sadly. Suddenly, a bold idea popped into her head, and to carry it out she had to wait a few more hours .

AFTER TWO HOURS......

The street was empty, and it was a great time to carry out the plan. She went to the back of the Chinese restaurant building and found a space for them to sleep. As expected". She said happily, she brought out the tent she had bought earlier and fixed it. She placed some blankets and clothes for warmth and laid her siblings there to sleep while she slept outside on guard.

it's a cruel world indeed, she said and laid on the cold floor.
