Erin lowered her head to glance at Earl who was right at her waist. She took out her hand from her pocket and pressed his head.
" I see now it's not a school but the army."
Earl drooped his head low and said, "I see now."
Erin half-squatted and looked into his eyes, " Earl, you are a genius. But you are too weak. If anything happens I can't guarantee that I'll be able to protect you."
Erin also never wished to send him away but he had to learn how to fight.
" I know I could teach you but currently time is of the essence and so I can't. "
Earl replied," I know. I won't disappoint you. I'll do my best, Sis! But I don't want to leave you."
Erin hugged him and patted his back gently, " Be good. I'll come see you when I get time."
Earl sniffled and raised a hand to wipe away his tears. He gritted his teeth and said emphatically, " Sis! wait for me to come back. I'll beat whoever dares to bully you."
Erin laughed, holding his small shoulder,
" Who dares to bully me? They are not afraid of the brick in my hand?"
Earl pursed his lips tightly, his bright and clear eyes looked at her firmly, "Next time, your hands will be used for eating dessert and drinking milk tea! Whoever dares to bully you, I'll beat them up and you enjoy the show. "
"Okay." Erin smiled and touched his face. She didn't intend to send him away but their current circumstances didn't allow it.
He had to learn how to fight and be strong.
"You have to behave yourself in the army. Keep a low profile. Don't be a show-off, alright??"
Earl pulled the strap of his black pack, "I got it Sis! Wait for my return."
" Off you go!" Erin stood up and gave him one last hug.
Earl kept a taut face as he walked towards the car, his back facing Erin. He didn't want to look back. He was afraid that he would cry and become a disappointment.
Lucas said to the leader, Daniel, " Daniel, this kid is clever. Teach him well and he'll have a bright future."
Daniel replied, " Got it Lucas. How can I not take good care of someone you recommended?"
Lucas slapped his arm, "My good brother."
"When are you returning to the Han residence?" Daniel said. " With that illness, Old madam won't hold up for much longer. How can a mother and a son bear grudges for so long? There are a lot of undercurrents brewing in the family. Everyone's up to something. "
Just as his voice fell. Lucas's cell phone rang.
Seeing the address of the Capital displayed on the screen. He felt a heavy thump in his chest.
He picked up the phone. Someone said something on the other end of the phone. The Lucas's expression changed drastically.
" I'll be right back."
Daniel frowned and asked, " What's the matter?"
Lucas had a grave expression. " Daniel lend me your private jet. My mom's condition is getting worse."
Daniel instructed his subordinates, " See to it immediately. "
" Understood. "
Knowing the seriousness of the situation, Daniel quickly said, " Get in the car first. I'll take you guys to the airport. "
" Alright." Lucas grabbed his cellphone and stared at Erin intently. saying softly, "Erin, I... "
" Let's go ." Erin interrupted him.
Lucas nodded gratefully his hand shaking nervously, " I hope it's not too late."
Daniel cast a glance at Erin, his perceptive eyes darting about.

At the Capital.
Erin and Lucas walked down from the plane.
" Erin it's not convenient for me to go to the Han residence. I got someone to take you there." Lucas quickly said. "If I go there now, it'll only add to the chaos. "
What would others think if he were to go back now after twenty years of being away?
" It's okay." Erin replied mildly.
She was just there to repay a favor.
After leaving the airport, Lucas took her straight to a black, off-road vehicle parked by the side of the road.
The driver's window rolled down slowly.
Seeing the girl walking beside Lucas, Kyrie who was sitting in the front passenger seat raised an eyebrow.
The driver, Ethan, was wide eyed the moment he saw Erin, "Young master Han, isn't that..."
Was this girl the doctor he said he would bring with him?
What could such a young lady possibly do?
