Chapter 2 Do You Go Wild?

1307 Words
Meanwhile, inside a club, the manager smiled warmly at the female guest in front of him. "Miss Thornhill, here are ten male models. Take a look, and if you don't like them, we can bring in another round." It was his first time seeing such a stunning woman who was also so lavish, and his staff were vying for a chance to serve her. Claudia was straightforward and carefully made her selection. After five rounds of presentations, she settled on ten handsome male models, each towering at an average height of 6’2" with well-defined eight-pack abs. Though they lacked the magnetic charisma of a man like Leo, they made up for it with their numbers and diversity, which was a far cry from Leo’s consistently cold demeanor towards her. "Whoever manages to make me happy today will receive a hundred thousand dollars," Claudia declared, her generosity knowing no bounds. If only for her looks, the male models would still try their best to please her, not to mention the money they could earn. Soon, the private room was abuzz with activity. Some sang, and others stripteased. In the midst of the lively atmosphere, Claudia’s spirits were significantly lifted, and she even regretted not freeing herself from the unworthy Leo sooner. She bent her head to savor a grape, peeled by one of the male models, and sent a message to her friend Queenie, inquiring about her arrival. Claudia had informed Queenie about her decision to divorce an hour earlier. Queenie didn't believe it at first. Over the years, Queenie had watched Claudia blindly devote herself to Leo, to her own detriment, and Queenie had scolded Claudia countless times for her naive romanticism. So this time, Queenie thought Claudia was just planning to make a scene and nothing more. It wasn't until Claudia said she was at the club and had even ordered male models that Queenie thought she might be serious, agreeing to come over, saying she was on her way. "Damn, some jerk ran a red light and hit my car, then had the nerve to claim I broke the traffic rules. When he couldn't argue with me, he resorted to s**t-shaming me, saying my car was rented. That bastard, I'll give him a piece of my mind." Queenie’s messages revealed her encounter with a string of unfortunate events on the road. "You go ahead and have fun. I'll come over after I deal with that idiot." Claudia knew Queenie's temper and didn't rush her, letting her handle it first as there was no urgency on her part. "Sis, would you like a drink?" The youngest-looking male model offered a toast. Claudia accepted and began to drink. She used to have a high tolerance for alcohol, but after three years of pretending to be the demure wife of Leo, her tolerance had significantly waned. By the time Queenie arrived, Claudia was already inebriated, lying on the sofa and mumbling incoherently. The male models saw this, concerned about the promised hundred thousand dollars. Just then, a call came in. The male model quickly answered the call, "Hello, this lady is drunk, could you please come and pick her up? By the way, she booked ten male models today and promised us a tip of a hundred thousand dollars. Please bring some money to settle the bill." On the other end of the phone, Leo didn't reply, his face dark with anger. ***** "Hey, you still need to practice your abs... Let me see if your pecs are big enough..." Leo pushed the door open to this scene. The woman who had professed her affection for him countless times and promised to be good was lying in a man's arms, her hand slowly climbing up from another man's abs. Leo didn't lose his temper easily, but he couldn't help feeling a surge of anger now. A male model stepped forward. "Are you her friend? Please settle the bill here." "Tell your manager to put it on my tab," Leo’s voice was cold and intimidating as he approached. Seeing that he was not someone to mess with, one male model lifted Claudia from his arms, and another removed her hand from his abs. Leo gave them a cold glance before fixing his gaze on Claudia. He forcefully pulled her up from the sofa. "Get up, come with me." "Who are you?" Claudia was drunk, unable to see the man's face clearly, but the pain of being pulled caused her to flare up. "I'm a customer, haven’t you heard 'the customer is always right'? I'll file a complaint against you!" 'Why should I spend money and still be treated poorly by a man! Why!' The more Claudia thought about it, the more upset she became. She stood up to file a complaint, but when she looked up and saw that unforgettable handsome face, she was stunned for a full three seconds. "Leo?" Claudia was confused. Leo's face was ashen. It seemed she wasn't completely drunk out of mind. "Do you go wild?" Claudia's words left Leo speechless. His expression shifted from shock to anger. The next moment, Claudia’s world spun as she was lifted onto someone’s shoulder, her stomach compressed painfully against the hard muscle. She fought to get down, but Leo ignored her struggles, carrying her away and unceremoniously dumping her into the car. Midway through the drive, Claudia began pounding on the window, announcing her impending nausea. As soon as Leo stopped the car, Claudia rushed out and leaned against a tree, vomiting violently. After vomiting, her mind cleared up. She looked over at Leo, who was leaning against the car with impatience and offered a cold smile. Claudia pulled out a tissue and slowly wiped the corner of her mouth. "You're here about the divorce, aren't you? It’s too late, and I’m too drunk. Let’s discuss it tomorrow." She remembered the male model answering her call; she thought it was her best friend arriving, but it turned out to be Leo. He never came looking for her, so his late-night appearance could only mean one thing: the divorce. Her head was foggy, and she didn’t want to negotiate from a position of weakness, so she decided to defer the conversation about asset division until the morning. Leo frowned. "I see you’re aware we’re still married. Ten male models? That’s quite the appetite you’ve got there." There were many people at the club. Tomorrow, the whole city would probably laugh at Leo for paying his wife's male model tips in the middle of the night. His reputation would be in shambles. "Whether I can handle it or not is none of an ex’s concern," Claudia smirked coldly. "I never asked how many affairs you had during our marriage." Leo, the heir to a wealthy family and a business magnate, was constantly surrounded by a variety of women—celebrities, models, and even anonymous college students. Haven't there been enough news stories? "Jealous? Seeking revenge?" Leo frowned. Claudia had thrown small fits before. But this time, she made a big scene by asking for a divorce and hiring male models. "I was jealous, and wanted revenge, but that's all in the past. Since we're not discussing anything, I'm leaving." Claudia's head hurt; she didn't want to talk or face Leo. "I'll take you home," Leo said, stepping forward and grabbing Claudia's arm. "I don't want to..." Claudia started to protest. Before she could finish, Leo's phone rang again. Whatever was said on the other end caused him to release Claudia’s arm. "Since you don't want to, find your own way home." Leo seemed to have an urgent matter to attend to and sped off, the car’s engine roaring. Claudia stood there, her eyes shimmering with unshed tears. She had been close enough to hear Susan's voice on his phone.
