The Alpha's intense gaze pierced through Garrick, as if searching for a sign, a resolution to the impending dilemma. Time seemed to slow, the seconds ticking away in agonizing suspense.
"Yates is gathering the masses," the Alpha said, peering at Garrick with two piercing eyes that made it appear as though Garrick was pinned to the floor. "They are up to something, but right now they don't have a specific target in mind. At the very least, it appears to be that way at the moment. They are swarming just outside of our territory, but they aren't heading in the direction of any farming or mining operations. I can't make up my mind whether or not to dispatch an extensive force to wipe them out.”
