As they waited for the lycans to appear, Thessalia could hear the sound of her own heartbeat pounding in her ears. She tried to control her breathing, but her anxiety was getting the best of her. Emily was standing behind them, looking strangely calm.
Minutes passed, but the lycans still hadn't shown up. Thessalia wondered if they had been spotted and were being stalked, or if the lycans were waiting to launch a surprise attack. She couldn't shake the feeling of impending danger, but she also knew that they couldn't stay there forever.
Thessalia turned to Orion and whispered, "We can't just sit here and wait. We need to be proactive and figure out what our next move should be. Do you think we should try to move forward, or retreat back and regroup?"
