Thessalia slowly opened her eyes, taking in her surroundings. She was lying on a cold, hard floor in what appeared to be a small, dimly lit room. Taking a deep breath, she tried to calm her racing heart. She tried to sit up, but a sharp pain in her head made her groan. She gingerly touched the back of her head and winced at the tender spot. She knew that she must have been hit hard to be knocked unconscious. As she lay back down, she carefully listened to the sounds outside, trying to piece together any information she could. She heard footsteps, voices, and the occasional howl in the distance. She realized that the enemy pack was planning something big, and they were preparing for war.
