The Warrior Princess

1808 Words
My name is Isabella and I am the fiercest warrior of my pack. I'm about to turn eighteen soon, which is when most people are able to shift for the first time, my wolf and I were so insync, that I was able to shift at an earlier age than most wolves. When I turned sixteen, I shifted for the first time, my wolf Jade is just as strong as I am if not stronger. I have no biological parents. I was brought to the Silver Moon Crescent Pack after my pack was attacked by filthy rogues. I was rescued by our packs Beta, Jake, who became my father. He had just found his mate, Roweena. Together they raised me as their daughter. They have three pups whom I adore and of whom I am very protective of. Our Alpha, is the most powerful Alpha in the werewolf kingdom so its only natural that he was king. I can take on any warrior. I haven't met anyone who is able to keep up with me. My ability to kicks ass is what sets me apart. I'm not your typical teenage girl obsessed with finding my mate and living happily ever after because happily ever after does not exist. Our Alpha and Beta personally trained me, when I ended up saving our Alpha's during a rogue attack. I had just arrived at the pack a few weeks prior when this pack was also attacked. I just happened to be wandering bored, looking for something to keep me entertained because my foster parents, were busy with preparations for our pack to be visited by some of our neighboring packs for their annual meeting to discuss pack related matters when I noticed his majesty walking in the forest with his son and a member of the imperial guard. I saw the rogue before he could and shouted," "Your majesty rogues," they were quickly able to defend themselves and let the warriors know via mindlink they were in trouble but as they had defeated the initial rogues, more and more rogues came. They were using some form of darl magic that made it impossible to detect their scent. They seemed to be using the exact same method as the rogues that attacked my pack. They were trying to get to get the Prince, our Alpha had to send his son away to live with his protectors who moved him to the human world, where he lives as a weak human, not knowing what a powerful bloodline he comes from. As soon as the fight was over, Alpha summoned me and asked me what I wanted in return for saving his life, I said, "Alpha, I want to be the strongest warrior in your pack. If ever you're under attack again, I want to be able to defend you with my own hands." That moved him deeply and ever since then, I began training. It's been ten years, not only am I the most kick ass warrior in the pack, but our Alpha gave me the title of Princess. I train before sunrise. I hate being disturbed by other wolves, who enjoy messing around while training. For me, training is not something you fool around with. As I was almost done with my training, a few senior warriors had come in to train. "Wanna spar?" Marcus the head of our imperial guard asked. "You think you can finally beat me today?" I asked smirking. "Maybe, I mean, I did train harder after you kicked my ass the last time," Marcus said before I lunged at him. The battle was intense, the only thing on my mind was win at all costs. "Damn Belle, I swear you get stronger each time we spar. I really feel sorry for the guy who becomes your mate. I don't think he could survive you," Marcus said laughing. "Love is for the weak. Unless he's at my level, he can't be my mate,"I replied, smirking as I left the training grounds. I had a shower and quickly went down to breakfast. The packhouse, as usual, was a buzz of activity. Our pack, although royal, didn't function like how your typical packs did. Here, omegas were treated with respect and dignity. We even assisted them in their duties in the pack. No one was above anyone else. Respect was of the utmost importance irrespective of your rank. "Hi sweetie, I made a batch of my special chocolate chip cookies. I kept some aside for you. Pass by the kitchen to pick them up before you leave,"Susana, our head chef said. "Thank you Aunt Susana. You're the best! I replied as I moved towards where my father was seated. "Good morning sweetheart. How did your training go? I noticed you got back a little later than you usually do ," my father said. "Yeah, I was just about to leave the training grounds when Uncle Marcus appeared and challenged me. You know, I can never back down from a challenge," I aaid laughing. "I don't even have to ask how it ended," my father replied laughing. "Where's mom?" I asked. "The kids had some trouble at school yesterday so your mother went along with them to try and resolve things," he said calmly. "Why didn't she tell me?" I said furiously. Those pups mean the world to me. I was unable to save my biological siblings. In this lifeb, I will do anything to protect my new siblings Blood related or not, I would give up my very life for the family I now called my own. "Relax sweetheart, nothing major. No one was hurt. It was just a matter of kids being kids and teasing each other," my father said, which allowed me to relax a bit. Helena, our pack elder had just arrived and sat down next to me. "Susana sent this for you, she just took them out of the oven now," she said placing a warm blueberry muffin in front of me," Thanks Aunt Helena, I said devouring it in seconds. "I hear Prince Alexander will be returning to the kingdom soon,"Helena said to my father. "Yes he is, we thought it would be better to wait for a few days but it seems like the closer the Prince gets to his eighteenth birthday, the more connected he becomes to his wolf. Growing up human, we assumed that we would have to teach him how to connect to his wolf and introduce our world to him gradually however, having alpha blood complicates things somewhat. He's probably pretty strong already. Leaving him any longer in the human world could draw unwanted attention. Remember, after we had mourned the death of the Prince the attacks stopped. If whoever was behind the attack on our King and the Prince finds out he's alive and that he's in the human world, well you can figure out the consequences," my father said solemnly. "A human? Powerful? Please don't joke with me. Did you forget about the report we got from red star about him being bullied by a human. They said that he wasn't even fighting back, he let a weak and pathetic human beat him and wasn't able to fight back. What a strong, powerful alpha he would make. Imagine having a person like him in control of our entire realm. We would be leading entire packs to be slaughtered," I said rolling my eyes. "Child, Alexander is the son of our King. He cones from a powerful line of Alphas. Whether he is aware of his legacy or not, he carries that blood deep within his veins. Remember, our Luna, is also extremely powerful. A white wolf is extremely rare. Remember what the prophecy says child. Alexander is destined to be a great King of the Silver Moon Crescent Pack and of the werewolf kingdom. It is his fate," Helena said. "I don't believe in fate Aunt Helena. I believe that you only get what you work for. The oracle is wrong. There's no way a weak human could lead us. If he does, the only thing he would lead us to is death and destruction because a weak human could never lead this pack," I said confidently. "Be careful with what you say or do, child. Destiny and fate is determined by the moon goddess herself, the oracle also stated that once Alexander meets his mate and the mate bonding is completed, both Alex and his luna would become the most powerful wolves to ever exist within the realm, "Helena said carefully. "Needing a mate to achieve his destiny? See that shows weakness. As far as Moon goddess and destiny goes, was it my pack's destiny to be massacred and my destiny to br an orphan," I asked angrily. Helena sighed. It sometimes can be difficult to understand but everything happens for a reason," she said before leaving. After her rescue and search for survivors, the Alpha King was kind enough to allow me to bury my family in his kingdom. Actually, they had no choice because I had refused to leave my mother and siblings. I held onto their dead bodies as if my life depended on it. I just couldn't let go. As soon as I was rescued, I took Jake to where my family was and refused to leave. The King who was also there to see the extent of the attack, heard my cries and came to try and comfort me. "I...can't.....leave.....them," I cried between sobs. So the King had arranged a large acre of land that was used to give dignity to all of the dead. All survivors from my pack were bought to the Silver Moon Crescent Pack and we were able to bury our loved ones and visit their grave whenever we wanted to. "Mum, I wondered what you thought when you found out dad was your mate. Would you have agreed to the mate bond if you knew what lay in store for you and your children. You married a coward and that destroyed our entire pack. A useless Alpha that couldn't defend his own family, let alone his pack. He failed us all mother. I fear that my new family may face the same future. They believe that a wolf raised human can lead this pack and not only this pack but the entire realm. What a joke. Destiny, fate, Moon goddess, all rubbish. How can a weak wolf protect the realm. Mum I miss you," I said before leaving. Jade stirred within me. I'm uneasy she said. Why I asked. I don't know but i feel like something is coming but I don't know what exactly. Gee Jade how very helpful I said. Hey she said. Don't worry Jade, whatever it is we can face it together I said.
