“Are you almost ready, honey? We have 20 minutes before we have to head over”, Charlie said, coming up behind Amanda. The ceremony had to be put back 2 weeks for Toby to recover. Now it was finally on them, Amanda was getting more nervous about going through with it. Her feelings for Adam continued to grow stronger and she often questioned herself. What made it worse, Toby was allowing their feelings to happen.
“Huh?” Amanda sighed, turning to face her father, a few tears streaming down her face. She dabbed them lightly with the tissue her father gave her. “Yes. I mean no. I mean, I don’t know.”
“Honey, you can’t back out now. You are already married”, Charlie laughed, giving his daughter a kiss on the forehead, trying to hide the worry he was feeling for her. “What’s got you upset?”
