“When are you going to tell Toby?” Adam asked as Amanda sat on the bench in front of the main house.
“Tell Toby what?” she questioned, trying to put a confused look on her face. She figured Adam had seen what she picked up, but wanted to play dumb nonetheless.
“You know what”, Adam answered, narrowing his eyes at her. He wasn't sure if the test was positive, but since Amanda was stalling her answer, he figured it was. “When you got me to drop you off at the pharmacy the other day, I saw you pick up the test. Given there are no other signs, we wouldn’t have guessed.”
